These are very solid dishes with that beautiful color of glaze. There is some texture so the glaze captures the very interesting design adding a touch of artfulness. I love them!! These are not stoneware you are going to find in a retail store. They are thick and sturdy stoneware dishes and everything about them is gorgeous!! I see them on sale a lot as well! I applaud this company and their commitment to their customers. it comes with a paper that says if you received damaged items to definitely call them. I do not think you would need to. The two boxes it was shipped in look like it was used to play football with and it was packed so well all of the dishes were intact and not a single flaw on them. If you break them in the future do not worry you can get a 1 year extended warranty free. Cannot get over how beautiful the art is on them and will cherish using them daily. ... show more

I love the dishes. They are beautiful and well made. However the teal/green color is not the same as the pictures which is a bit of a bummer. I prefer product pictures to be more true to the product vs edited to look better and then let down when I see them in reality.

I've washed these both by hand and in the dishwasher and they have maintained their color without scratching, staining or having any other issues. I also appreciate that the size of the mug is larger than in other sets and holds a little over 12 oz of liquid - perfect for a can of sparkling water. Plus, my guests think they're pretty.
