These AAA alkaline batteries work fine in many devices, and are a good value. After quite a bit of research I have found that some devices using this size battery exhaust them very quickly, but my very basic battery tester shows that they are still "good". Those devices for me are blood pressure devices, and a medical device remote control. When I use a multimeter to test the voltages instead of a basic battery good/bad tester, I find that Duracell brand unused batteries test at 1.58 volts where these EBL test less than 1.5 volts. Batteries always lose voltage as they are used, and some devices need more volts than others. I recommend that you buy small quantity of the battery you need and test with your specific device/s, and keep in mind that some devices will work longer with a more expensive name brand like Duracell and Energizer. I have also purchased Rayovac to test, and they do test at 1.58 volts like the Duracell, but I have not yet tested them in my demanding devices. I expect they will do fine. ... show more

4 stars since these batteries absolutely leak. They have good life for generic batteries making them ideal for remotes, mice, keyboards and the like. Not ideal for flash lights and such but they do a bit better than you would think. They work fine. They're the best value AAA on amazon.

I don't know how these batteries perform as I have no idea how to test them, but I am disappointed that they don't have an expiration date on the batteries, or even a date when they were manufactured. I sure hope they don't leak like an entire package of EverReady batteries that still had a long way to go before they expired did when I opened the package up recently. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that they perform as expected and won't leak until the end of their life. ... show more
