I alternatively bought the ELF hydrating primer yesterday at Target, and although I haven't tried it on my face, I did apply it to the back if my hand and it seemed much better for me ... show more

I used this e.l.f. Pore Grip Primer in almost 100° F weather and my foundation stayed intact all day. I made sure to apply it in front of a fan blowing directly on my face so that I wasn't sweating at all when applying (it was that kind of hot when you're sweating in air conditioning). Great results, smooth, filtered look. Seriously impressive. However, on a couple of other occasions I was more rushed when applying and sweating slightly. I applied, waited a minute, gently dabbed the sweat away and reappllied a small amount in the areas I dabbed. I then applied my foundation but the results were not nearly as good. My foundation ran all day and looked a hot mess - literally. So my experience is that if there's any moisture on your face when applying then the results are not that great - but the results are picture perfect when applying to COMPLETELY dry skin. ... show more

I love this primer so much, it leaves your face refreshed and soft, not dewy or dry at all. It is the perfect base for makeup and over the time I have been using it I have realized that it literally saves my skin from breaking out since I’m severely acne prone. The power grip is incredible hence the name of the primer. The key to good make up is to have the perfect base and Elf power grip primer is that girl. I’ve been using $25-$30 primer for years but they discontinued the one I liked. I tested this product on a boat in 90 degree weather and my makeup actually stayed put all day! Even my old primer wouldn’t do that. I blotted sweat off my face and there was no makeup on the towel!

It’s ok, this had a ton of great reviews so I decided to for give it a try. Texture is sticky and almost like glue but if you apply it quickly it spreads fine and seemed to work ok under powder foundation but I wasn’t particularly impressed. I realized this was causing me to break out on my forehead. Was using it randomly and every time I used it, the next day I woke up to a bunch of bumps.
