  • Decent sound, if a little unusual
Style: 4 String
Have replaced countless sets of guitar strings without a hitch, and since my bass was sounding a bit dull, decided to move on up to some better strings. This went mostly without a hitch, with the only issue being that these didnt seem to stretch as much after winding as I'm used to with guitar strings. This left me a little short on my E string but hey, whatever. Its on and I rarely detune past D anyway so who cares. Only really adding this part because since this is the first time I've replaced bass strings, I'm not sure if this is typical. Anyway, the sound is leagues above dull, worn out strings. Have had these strings on for about 6 months now. At first, the sound was fairly cold and crisp, but over time has changed to be more bright and vibrant, but still clear. Recommended, as I'll probably come back to these in the future. ... show more

  • Pretty Good Strings
Style: 5 String
Strings were great value for the money. Some of the most affordable Strings on the market as far as I can tell. They sound darn good. And aren't too rough on the fingers being stainless steel. I will say however, honestly not my cup of tea tone wise. I'm not much of a slapper so I'd never be able to use these to their full potential. ... show more

Style: 4 String
First time ive tried dunlop strings-i was persuaded to try them based on watching a les claypool interview. I like em so far but i did notice the a string was not as strong as the e. But, i quickly did a setup and do not have my bass fully dialed in. Overall i was looking for less tension strings and these nailed it. They are definitly bright, zingy strings with a lot less tension than my normal ghs bass boomers. ... show more

  • Grippy texture ruins it for me
Style: 5 String
Although I love Dunlop strings these have some type of grip texture that I really can slide up and down neck very well. So please make sure you try to test drive these before buying.

  • Best Strings So Far!
Style: 5 String
The best set of strings I've tried so far! I have tried Ernie Ball Strings which is great but Dunlop strings are way better for me. It feels so comfortable on my fingers and provides less stress on my hands, you'll keep playing more and more! With bright high and strong low ends, you're getting the best of both worlds. Not to mention the growl it offers with slapping. ... show more

  • Excellent strings
Style: 4 String
After stringing my fender jazz bass It sounded like I had replace the pick ups. The quality of the sound and the sustain are superb. The field is so soft it’s like “playin’ on budda”.

  • Ok but not great 😌
Style: 5 String
The strings are ok but they don’t last long and loose their tonal response after a few uses. I don’t know why they don’t hold up but some folks love these strings but they are not for me .
