This is a very sturdy frame. It doesn’t require a boxspring. You just put the mattress on it, and you are all set! This frame comes unassembled. It takes about fifteen minutes to assemble it, and all of the hardware is included. I used it for a Twin XL without any major issues. I have a spare King Size mattress that we use for guests. However, that mattress just lays on the floor like a sack of potatoes and looks, well, a bit inelegant. So to finally solve that issue I picked up this King Size bed frame. It comes with the frame, the slats, the tools you need to put it together and the instructions. The frame itself is very solid and it, along with the slats, are not flimsy at all. Setup was breeze but a bit tedious. If you have a better tool than the Allen key that comes with this then I would use that. I have big hands and single Allen keys always feel a bit too small so I end up using my own driver and bit set. Anyways, after setup, I dropped my mattress on it and it fit perfectly! Now, I don't have a box frame for the mattress (it's memory foam) but you don't need one according to the marketing on this and I can confirm that you don't - the slats are, as mentioned above, a solid base for the memory foam mattress that I have and it has no sagging going on. I'm satisfied with this purchase and now I look like a real homeowner with a real bed! ... show more

The bedframe took 30 minutes and was easy to assemble. My teen broke his last bedframe, so we decided to try this one. This bed frame s nice and sturdy. The bedframe is tall, so we decided not to use the box frame, it made the bed to high to get on an off . We put down a piece of plywood under the mattress to distribute the weight better of the mattress. The only problem I have found with the frame is the legs are on the outside of the frame, so you have a chance of stubbing your toe, my teen solved the problem, he has put a foam noodle on the legs he keeps bumping his foot on. ... show more

This bed frame came with a very clear instruction guide. I did all installation by myself in about half an hour. No missing parts, no missing hardware, everything I need was in the box. This is a very reliable bed frame, the metal structure is very well manufactured. Since my bedroom is not that big I had to assemble it in my living room then I moved it to my bedroom. I was kind of afraid that the legs might come off, but nothing happened thanks to the rubber plugs. Since I have a wood bed platform, I put the bed frame in it, fits very well, and looks very nice. This bed was a bit difficult to put together for one person. If you have 2 or more people then it goes together much easier. It's just that you have to hold both horizontal pieces up while fastening them together and it is easier to do with 2 people than one. It does hold a mattress very well, but I tried a full-size gel bed that I had on my daughter's bed and it seemed to want to go through the cracks and leave a lumpy appearance. But a standard mattress fits right on it and is very comfortable to lie on and you don't have all that extra height that a box spring gives you. ... show more
