My clothes are left soft, static free, smelling delightful and all without any sticky residue on my clothing. The scent truly is calming, so fresh and definitely not “perfumey”. I do clean the lint filter with a bit of dawn soap and water once a month though, as the stickiness of the sheets gets engrained and stuck in the lint filter, which can strain the ability for the dryer to do its job. I've been buying the downy calm scented fabric softener and dryer sheets for many years now and im obsessed with their scent and how my clothes come out feeling soft, not wrinkled and smell fantastic! They have been changing things recently and now they sell the huge sheets (comparable to 3 small regular ones) but they are still the same scent and work just as well as always. They are also a lot cheaper to get here on Amazon rather than in grocery stores or cvs etc. The boxes are huge and came with 2 for the amount I purchased, so it will last a long time, which is even better! The lovely scent of these dryer sheets is VERY long-lasting! If something is still hanging in my closet a month or more later, I can still smell it if I put my nose to the garment or wave it around. Much more so than ordinary dryer sheets. Just like the girl in the TV commercial (only she obviously prefers the Fresh scent. LOL!). I use them mainly for my own clothing and bedding, along with the scent beads in the washer. I find that the dogs sneeze if I use it for their bedding; the Lavender scent seems to work better for them. I feel like they are a little luxury that I buy for myself; whereas, the dog hair-repelling sheets are best for my husband’s laundry. He just never learned how to do laundry properly, and if he does it himself, it never smells clean to me! (And trust me, doing his laundry has always been a pain, bc I work as much as he does!) I often wonder if others have had this experience. I don’t think they have that much effect on wrinkle-reduction. You still have to be there to take the clothes out immediately when the dryer stops or they do wrinkle, even after as little as a couple of minutes, regardless of which dryer sheets are used. I do think they help keep the fabrics soft after many washings. (Now, if only I could find something that would REALLY catch the dog hair.) But the main thing is that scent.
