    • Easy wifi connection, great heater
We recently built a new doghouse for our 3 dogs and I wanted a more permanent setup that could be used year round and this heater is going to help. My only quibble is the power cord- controller- power cord arrangement coming out of the heater. It’s all one continuous piece, I’m guessing for waterproofing, but the control box is 3” wide which means you have to cut a 3” hole in whatever structure you’re using for a doghouse just to pass the control box, otherwise the cable is 3/8” wide, so then you’ve got to cover the hole. I ended up using and outdoor receptacle cover mounted directly to the back of the doghouse to cover the hole. Mounting concerns aside- the heater was easy to connect to wifi, I wish it would communicate directly over the local network instead of the cloud. To use the cloud you have to create a login, email, password etc and it means you’re completely at the mercy of the company to continue to support the cloud connection. So if they ever shut down the cloud the wifi connection is gone. I did really like the ability to set a schedule. We bring the dogs in at night but I can set it up to warm the doghouse in the early morning and early evening while they are still out there. Right now it’s easily warming a 3x6 foot doghouse with 36” ceilings. ... show more

I have another heater like this and they are great, perfect for maintaining the heat in your pups home. Easy to use and the remote attached to the cord is great!

We use this heater for heating the dog crate area. It heats up fast and is programmable. It is small and can be mounted to wall, doghouse or more. The cord has protective sleeve to prevent chewing of cord. It provides good supplemental heat for your pets.

The product was so simple to install. I downloaded the app so that I could use it remotely. I realized there is a way to set a schedule to auto turn on the unit on or off at a set time. Unfortunately this feature is not operable. I tried using the "support" feature within the app and kept getting a message that read: "I don't understand". Ridiculous! I emailed the support team and have yet to hear back. I don't have faith in the product at this point but I am able to manually turn it on and off. ... show more

My dogs are trained to pee in a litter box right outside the deck door. I have deconstructed a doghouse to serve as a “car port” to cover the litter box (see photo). This helps keep the elements out. But in the dead of winter, my dogs (who hate the cold) are still reticent to run out and use the pad, and the frozen urine trapped in the grass pad makes for an uninviting experience. So I’ve been looking for a heater to address these issues, and tested two of them. Each heater is of a very different design. So I thought the best way to review this heater is to just point out the pros and cons: Pros -- This heater is only 300 watts, so it will cost less to operate (but it will also throw less heat in really cold conditions). -- I tested the housing of this heater and all the sides generally never got hotter than about 95 degrees (which is not too hot to touch). The only “hot spot” on this heater is the center grate (where the heat exits) and immediately surrounding it. That area can most definitely burn your dog’s nose or paws. But (unlike with convection heaters) since this one blows hot air out that grate, your dog will have advance warning signals of danger (both the sound of the fan and the blowing hot air). So your dog is less likely to ever accidentally burn itself on the housing of this heater. -- The heat exits this heater on the front and toward the bottom (see photo). Since heat rises, this design does a better job heating the lower parts of the doghouse. --This heater has a digital control. That control always shows the current temperature of the doghouse, as well as your chosen setting from 41 degrees to 113 degrees (when you press the “+” or “-“ buttons). You can also use the control to optionally set a timer as well as to optionally activate a “child lock” to prevent accidental changes in the settings. -- The Amazon product page (but not the product instructions) states the heater does have an automatic overheat feature. Cons -- This heater is thick (see photo of the side profile). It sticks out over 5 inches into the doghouse space. Your dog is more likely to accidentally come into contact with this heater. -- This heater uses a fan to distribute the heat. While not loud, it does make noise. Especially if your dog lives in its doghouse, this can be an annoyance. -- Even when fully turned off (but still plugged in), the control display is always lighted with two dashes (see photo). Bottom line: overall a decent heater with more features than most others. I just wish it were of a slimmer design to take up less space in the doghouse interior. ... show more

I have purchased this for my dogs house outside had a very minimal heat didn’t really warm up the doghouse and it seems like the heater wasn’t on or something I’m not sure but I don’t recommend this

My dog sleeps in the garage where he prefers and I got this hoping to warm it up a bit during the cold nights but it would not stay on! I turned the thermostat to the highest and it just kept turning off. It may be that this is more meant for a dog house, something more enclosed. In which case, that may work better but I do not have a dog house. It’s heavy and seems well made. Just didn’t work for my needs. ... show more
