This product exceeds expectations. For someone with big quads, it’s hard to find a jock/cup that doesn’t dig into my thighs. But from the moment I put it on it really does stay in place and is an amazing fit. On top of that I was worried the cup would be too compressed on the goods. But surprisingly it’s got a deep contour and doesn’t smash into you. I use this for biking, mma, and hockey so it’s the best of all sports. The sizing is accurate. I’m 6’ and 220lbs and ordered the XL. One thing I would suggest is upon pulling them up, I would recommend not pulling up from just the waist band when putting on, but grabbing the bottom thigh straps and waist band together when pulling up to ensure you don’t rip the straps around the cup pocket. Having a hematoma in your testicles isn't fun. Don't know what a hematoma is? Basically internal bleeding/swelling, and I got that from a blunt force trauma injury a couple years back. I've never been the same unfortunately, but I don't let that get me down. I do MMA (techniques/styles include: Muay Thai, Kickbox, Western Box, Kali, Savate, Wing Chun/JKD) and wrestling (techniques/styles include: Grecco Roman, Sambo, BJJ, Judo). With those styles listed it's fair to say I have almost any base covered and when it comes to protection for my injury, I take it very seriously. My first try was the Diamond MMA compression/jock combo. I found these to slip too easily despite there being a drawstring, the back of the shorts always seemed the fall down more than I would like. Then it was multiple shock doctors which didn't last and then it was the RDX cup which wasn't big enough for my beanbag. I have an average size beanbag so I was surprised, but it just didn't have to right shape and I would poke out the sides. Finally, I decided to go back to the Diamond brand because I was very happy with the cup in the first place, and let me say that this is THE BEST. The cup is comfier than ALL the others, and the stitching is super high quality. Everything about the craftsmanship is fantastic and they have a great policy on returns and replacements. Take it from a guy who needs to take care of his beanbag as priority number one, this is the cup to get, well worth the money. Drawbacks? Only thing I can think of is the cup itself, like the act of wearing one. It does restrict movement to a degree, like getting a full pinch of your legs if you were to go take someone's back, but this is the drawback you take wearing any cup, there's a slight setback in mobility, but overall this cup/jock is perfect. ... show more

    • Best cup for Krav Maga (where kicks to the groin are not only allowed, but encouraged!
I am the husband of the account holder Christine**LOOK NO FURTHER! I started Krav Maga a month ago and as you may or may not know, taking shots to the groin are not only allowed but is encouraged. After taking a couple of shots to the testicles while wearing a Hayabusa cup I was floored! I thought I was going to die, so that is when I embarked on my mission to find a better groin protector. After a few days of talking to fellow gym members and researching online almost everyone and everything pointed me to try the Diamond groin protector. As soon as I received it I put it on and had my 11 year old give me a half-way hard kick to the groin and didn't feel any pain! Then I tried it at the gym the very next day and not only did not feel any of the groin kicks that came my way, the cup was COMFORTABLE! After a few minutes I forgot that I was wearing a groin protector. Also the size I bought fit perfectly so needless to say I am very happy customer. This is my backup groin protection. I use the steel RDX MMA groin cup as primary protection. The Diamond 4 strap cup is a bit narrow but fits ok. My waste fluctuates between 38-42 and I purchased the XL. The fit is just right and tightening the draw string helps to snug it up to keep it from moving. After wearing it for a few hours when training it does loosen up in the legs so the fitting gets a little loose. This creates just enough float to create a shock impact when taking a hard groin shot. It's not enough to hurt but just enough to let you know you took a hit. There are advantages to the shock because it keeps you from getting complacent protecting the groin area. Overall this is a good product and much better than anything else I've owned other than the RDX. ... show more

To start, the cup and jock work great together. It's well designed and stays in place. You can take shot after shot, run around and act like a maniac, it'll stay in place. The bad, some moron thought it was a good idea to use cheap a$$ screen printing right where your beans and frank sit. All that printing missing in the picture was solidly adhered to my mushroom cap. Not a joke, I literally had to take a scrub brush to the tip. My wife laughed when I gave up and asked her to try scraping some off when it became too sensitive. I'm going to try scrubbing the remaining print off the jock before wearing again. Damn inconvenient. ... show more

Yes, it's strong. Yes, I saw the video of a car running over it. Yes, the jock strap is designed well. It's just the cup is too wide at the bottom. Maybe the reviewers who said you can't even feel it have a thigh gap, because as soon as I tried it on I knew I couldn't use it. I can't put my inner thighs together with it on, so it affects my stances and movement, plus it exerts constant, uncomfortable pressure on my inner thighs.
