Trim remover tools are a great kit to have for working on your car. I was in need in some, so I grabbed these to make my sound system install in my car go a little bit easier. First impressions of these are that it comes with a nice assortment of various size trim removers that suited the work I needed to do. They are not flimsy and have nice rigidity. It popped the panels I needed to remove with ease and did not leave any marks. However, I would be careful with applying too much force when removing tougher trim pieces as it may cause excessive wear or breakage.     • Work for getting hard to remove fasteners
Wish I had bought these much sooner! I've broken plenty of fasteners trying to wedge a screwdriver into a very tight space. These tools obviously can still break some of the fasteners, but sure make it easier to get things pulled apart.

The instructions sent with this seem to be for a kit with more pieces than this contains, and doesn't match well the pieces here. The pieces being seemingly light plastic is double edged, the pieces are softer and give easier, but I worry that they might be too flimsy...but the couple pieces I pried away had no issue, but just be aware. Looks like there is a larger kit with a couple additional pieces, I think I'd recommend that one over the x-small size kit here, seeing the instructions page. Otherwise, since it did work and does help keep damage to trim at a minimal...thumbs up overall. ... show more

This set of auto trim removal tools is a great thing to have when doing any automotive work where you need to pry something off but don’t want to cause damage. The tools offer a variety of ends and sizes to give you options to get the best leverage on what you are trying to remove. I used this set to remove several pieces of dashboard trim and used a small one to help pull out a relay that was in a hard-to-reach area. I also pulled out a couple of push connectors. All of the tools have good rigidity and don’t mark up surfaces like a metal pry bar would. I would consider these a wear-item that may occasionally need to be replaced, especially if you use them heavily. Some of the ends show some use after one project. I’m sure you could continue to file these down to keep the ends clean for a while and the price is very good. The softer plastic provides better protection for the surfaces and edges you are prying so this is a worthwhile tradeoff. If you do any automotive interior or other delicate work where you need non-marring pry bars and trim removal tools, these are a great choice and a great value. ... show more

    • It does well when it fits.
I used these tools to take off a fairing on a Honda fit and it worked to get at the ends without damaging the trim but it does not always fit around the plastic push connectors. It does help get them out but not as easy as I hoped. All-in-all I would say it made the job easier and I did not need to use all the tools for that particular fairing. I don't know about door panels, but it did look like the tools would help there as well. So, better than struggling with a screwdriver and braking the fairings like I have done in the past.
