Just received the lamp. Very fast shipping thanks very much to Amazon delivery drivers. It's quite tall and the arch isnt as curved over like a complete circle as I would like but I like it very much. It's very bright and even more so when the diffuser is removed. The color temperature is pure white daylight unlike many others that are quite warm. Personally I prefer a pure white light for day time use but with options for dimming and slight color change for warmer night mode. There are some design and manufacturing flaws. The top end of the lamp is missing an end cap which would stop the plastic diffuser from sliding out during assembly and provide a more finished look. Perhaps its left open for ventilation purposes. The next problem is the screw mount for the joint was not properly aligned and one of the screw holes was worn out and wouldn't hold on the first attempt. The joining point also isnt all that flush. There isnt a dimmer like many other options. And it would have been nice to have a capacitive touch dimmer at the center of the curve for easy access. Also the finished on the lamp is different between the top and bottom halves. The bottom is brushed aluminum with polished mirror finish. The top half is brushed aluminum with no polished finish making for a more matt look. I cant imagine any good reason for the differing finishes. Despite these issues I'm quite happy with it. For the price it's quite stylish and and fulfills what I've been looking for. I've included images of another very similar lamp I've wanted made by Wofi lighting Germany but sadly isnt available in the USA and is $3,000. ... show more

Perfect contemporary - ultra modern styling. Love the crisp, white daylight LED's. I don't like the yellow cast of the warm white lights of any kind but especially not LED's. Have 2 of these lamps behind a king size bed, no headboard. Like how they frame the head of the bed and light up the room. Want to get 1 or 2 more for the living room. ... show more

    • One of few VERY TALL options - looks great
At 78" high, this is tall enough to provide soft light on artwork and to shine from above a large mirror. From the side, the narrow design almost disappears. The light is on the daylight side of the spectrum, as advertised and is diffused to provide soft illumination. Putting the two sections of the arc together did take a bit of wrangling to make screw holes on both pieces line up correctly. And ,as others have noted, the two sections have a different finish, matte on top and smooth/shiny below. However, neither of these nits is enough to deduct a star - not at this price. I feel like this belongs in an interrogation room. The light was too intense for me to use it for atmosphere in my home. I gave it away. I wasn't going to try to dismantle it and stuff it back into the box for a return.

I love the lamp. Except for one thing. I'm missing two screws that secure the the top part from the bottom part. Hence, the 4 out of 5 start rating. I'm about to contact Customer Support and have them ship me the two screws. I'm sure I can find my own, but why? It would be really nice if this lamp would dim. ... show more
