Description

This adjustable beam floor lamp by daylight24 offers brighter and whiter natural daylight so you can see colors as they truly are with improved contrast and clarity. Instead of incandescent yellow colored light, this type of lighting allows you the benefits of being outside on a beautiful day. The adjustable beam LED floor lamp has a unique pull shade that adjusts the beam of light from 3-Inch to 33-Inch at a distance of 12-Inch. As the light beam reduces in size, the light output intensity increases. Floor lamp has an adjustable gooseneck so you can position the light where you need it. Lamp is in a brushed steel finish with an on/off toggle switch. Uses one 5-Watt high output LED bulb that is housed by a anodized aluminum shade. Lamp stands 65-Inch tall. Patent pending. NOTE: Product's lamp base, post and gooseneck in brushed nickel finish. Shade is brushed aluminum with a black painted ring around the head's center.

It reminds me of a headlamp. In fact, using a headlamp would be better for your eyes and accomplish the very same job this lamp is intended to do; it is not ambient lighting nor will it light up a room, it is very specific task lighting. This item has an exposed bulb so if it is in front or to the side of you, it is annoying. And if it behind you and beaming over your shoulder to your work, it will cast shadows from your body blocking parts of the beam (my hands kept casting shadows when I was trying to work, yet that is the best place for it so your eyes don't get tired from the glare of the exposed bulb. Think of a bare light bulb with no shade. That is what this is. You can narrow the beam and widen the beam, and when it is narrow beam, the light is more concentrated in a smaller area. Had they put a small shade around the bulb it would still have done the job and it would have protected the eyes. Also I found it odd that the light switch, though in a very convenient location, worked just the opposite of the industry standard light switches - the one on the lamp is off when the switch points up, and it is on when the switch points down. ... show more

This light was purchased about a month ago. I hesitated to purchase this light, because so many of the reviews stated that the LED did not last long and cannot be replaced. Time will tell. But my immediate experience has been very positive. The fixture is compact and fits nicely in a corner overlooking my easy chair. The light focuses directly on my book and does not disturb anyone else in the room. I did have a problem with the order. I ordered it in black. I returned and was sent the wrong color (gold) three times before we figured out the problem. It was improper labeling on the box. Amazon graciously corrected the problem. ... show more

The good: Best looking lamp, streamlined silver head, adjustable from wide to tight spot light, very nice quality sturdy build. 10x better than ones we had from ikea. The bad (for me): Extreme daylight color light from this thing, color of idea. Blue day, color NOT adjustable. It says so in the listing but believe me, this is daylight blue color light.we're trying to find a way to filter it to a more evening-friendly yellow color light. I did put a yellow filter over it, but yellow+blue =green. Ick. ... show more

This lamp is great. I had an Ott lamp that had a shade, and my husband complained that it cast a glare on the TV screen at night. Well, great; the only time I NEED it is at night! Very sturdy base. The light is focused from wide to narrow by sliding the head of the lamp in and out. The LED light is soldered into a circuit board and unless you're comfortable with that you won't be able to replace it. Very bright but the light doesn't bleed out from the area it's shining on. I bought this to use with a Stressless recliner chair. I wanted some direct strong lighting while reading, given my senior aging of my eyes. It turned out to be perfect. Easy to assemble; great lighting; adjustable beam is great; stability is very good and it looks like an expensive floor lamp. It works so well when reading something and being able to narrow and expand the beam is terrific. Sometimes I turn it on just to warm up myself sitting in the chair. I wanted a bedside reading lamp that did not light up the entire room and that is exactly what this does. Focusable down to the small circle, as advertised, and not so bright it hurts your eyes. The neck is very flexible and stays right where you aim it. I does take both hands to precision set the focusing ring, though, as it moves easily. My only complaint would be that I ordered a black lamp and received the brushed nickel one. Didn't bother with a return as either finish works for the room. ... show more
