UPDATE: After reading my previous review of this safe, the seller contacted me indicating their concern that I may have received a previously returned item and offered to send me another one. Ordinarily I would have declined, but I was impressed by the build quality of the safe and really just wanted one that wasn't damaged and actually functioned properly. The seller sent me a new safe a few days ago and this one functioned flawlessly straight out of the box. The weakness of these kinds of safes seems to be the electronics and I initially ordered the Day1 because there were few if any negative comments on the electronics. I got this to provide a safe place for important paperwork like birth certs and DD214. I also got a couple of 6500 degree fireproof bags. Not sure the included one would do much protection. I wanted to make sure if there is a fire, paperwork makes it through. Unit is big enough for all I need. This safe has a good build quality. Seems durable. Like that it can be mounted to wall or floor. The only issue is i can't get the biometric to work.

This is a very nice safe! It's easy to set up and there is plenty of space inside for all your valuables. The door isn't hard to open with the fingerprint reader and unlocks quickly. 10/10
