Purchased this to surround and cover the pen that our newly hatched chick were staying in. It was easy to tie up and is extra strong. So far it has survived two inch thick tree limbs falling on the pen and has kept out a pesky hawk that was trying to get at the chicks .

    • Did the Job - Kept out the Black Vultures

This product is a very light material and so not very durable. It can be torn fairly easily. I tore it a bit installing it using what were probably incorrect clips. But I had a pair of Black Vultures nest in my 3 sided barn and raise a chick last spring. Unfortunately, they crapped all over everything and I vowed to not let them nest there again. Had to cover a 32W x15 H foot opening to keep them out. I hung this and it worked once I go the whole front covered. I had to add an extra foot for the height as this is a bit short. So I had several instances where the vultures walked into the barn and then hit the net trying to fly out. Stopped them cold. Also saw a few instances where they flew into the mesh trying to get in. So it has done the job, but there are tears where it was clipped and may not last very long. But if you need a mesh that vultures can fly into and not get through this may be what you need. ... show more

After deer had decimated my flower gardens, I was faced with two options: Stay up all night and take care of said deer (*cough*), or buy some netting to save what flowers I had left. Since I like sleep, I decided to go with the latter. This stuff is perfect! You can still see the pretty flowers, and the deer think twice about nomming on my lilies. And it's tough as nails! Dimensions are good as advertised 14' by 75' feet. Strong? Not quite tough and strong enough. If the nest catches on a snag on a post from high wind. It is all gone. It will be torn apart.

this netting is very, very light. it comes folded and is a little tricky to unfold, but the folded package is so small and convenient it's worth having to unfold. I was worried it would quickly rip, but I stapled nearly 100 feet around the 4x4 posts of a rectangular garden and it's held up very well. I don't know if it's going to hold up for years, but I expect it to last this season at least. Be aware that this fencing is nearly invisible. I hear the animals don't like the feel of the poly on their noses, but I could see deer crashing through this barrier without even knowing it was there. I used it above a lower course of hardware cloth, and so far I have no evidence anything has gone through it. I'm also happy to report I haven't (yet) found any birds or insects trapped in the netting. ... show more
