    • I hate this machine for so many reasons!
I own a retail flower shop and bought this machine because we thought it would be great to use for making script. No go. Here are my problems with the machine -Software is very invasive. It gets into everything on the computer and it's a labyrinth to use. Complicated and cumbersome, at best. -Machine is a little tricky to navigate and set up, but not horrible -Biggest problem is the material. We buy the material in bulk, and we use it in rolls. Whether you buy sheets or you buy full rolls, they are all rolled. If you plan to iron the vinyl on, the material will be rolled in the direction that is counter to laying flat on the sticky board they use for this device. Almost impossible to get the sheet into the machine without the vinyl curling up from the cutting board while rolling on to the machine. IF you want to avoid this, you MUST set the cut temple to start near the middle of the sheet in order to avoid the edge, which will curl up and get caught under the rollers, wasting a LOT of vinyl that could have been saved and used later. The only way we have found to work around this is to tape the entire sheet down, corners, edges, and so on, to keep it flat as it goes into the machine, and as it cuts. And Yes, we have tried all levels of "stickiness" with the various boards you can purchase for cutting platform. Would not spend the money again. Every time we have to make a script it's "uhhhh, not me, you make it" "uhhh, no you make it". In other words, no one wants to touch it. Consider yourself warned. ... show more

I love the thing. Yes, you can use it without a subscription. Yes, you can use it without being on the internet. Not sure why people are saying you can’t. There’s stuff in design space you can use for free. Also, you can use an editing program like inkspace or gimp to create your own things and load into design space. Some simple google searches and YouTube videos and the world is your cricutty oyster. ... show more

I was so excited to get this machine and get to crafting, the catch it doesn’t include a blade. I have a cutting machine that doesn’t come with the one thing it needs to cut. I don’t know if maybe it was supposed to and mine just didn’t have one but I was pretty irritated.

    • Great for cutting custom stickers
My daughter loves it. Stickers ate a big thing with youth right now. FYI you do need a printer to print your sticker and then this cuts the sticker. The seller was awesome and sent the advanced bundle of extras at no additional charge not just the basic bundle. That was really cool.

I am trying to cut a stencil for a simple design that I drew in photoshop, saved as a bmp. or jpg, or png. No. 1, I am only allowed to cut a 6x6 stencil. Even though the mat is 12x12. Because there is no customer support...I don't know why. When eliminating portions of the drawing for the stencil, inconsistencies happened over and over again when I tried to select an area to eliminate using Cricut software (Cricut Design Space) I am thinking that I can cut it by hand easier by printing it on film. I love my Cricut! Worth every penny, it comes with a cutting pad and the tools which is nice. It was supposed to come with iron vinyl but it came with regular vinyl. Other than that its wonderful.

Fairly easy to use. Get online and see the tutorials. Easy to follow instructions. Make sure to buy the bundle that includes the tools and the mat. Might also invest in an additional mat for different types of media that the machine cuts.
