    • Ok. Not amazing.
The original fan and casing on my Ender was banged up and needed replacing so I figured I’d try the direct drive. It fixed the issues I was having but it is really hard to feed the filament through. The extruded gets misaligned often. I’d still buy it again but it could use some improvement.

    • Headache but good
Had an issue with getting it plugged into the motherboard and the fan wires coming lose causing me to ruin the ptfe tube (twice), but working good.

    • Excellent addition to my Ender 3
Added this to my Ender 3 after the main cooling fan stopped working. A new fan was going to cost most of what this did plus was going to have to do most of the same work to replace it, figured why not replace the whole bowden setup with a direct drive. Once I got this tuned, I've been able to print a lot faster and a lot cleaner than before. I'm still going to try TPU at some point, but haven't yet. ... show more

Probably the best and least inexpensive upgrade you can make to your printer. Took about a half hour to install. Pretty much plug and play. Instructions consists of easy to follow pictorial guide as shown in description. Yields some of the best prints I've seen even before dialing in. Only con I can come up with is needing/finding an extruder knob that fits the the stepper shaft which is now partially blocked by the bracket. A decent extended micro knob can be found on thingiverse. Packaging and included tools are typical Creality Items. Well packed as usual. ... show more

    • Works perfect on my Ender 3 E
I was able to install quickly and my ABL sensor mounted perfectly. I have done several prints with it with no problems. I think the filament is much easier to load than with the Bowden tube.

    • quick and easy install but i received a returned unit with missing parts.
This is the 6th one I have installed and the first one to come already opened in a badly beaten box and had missing pieces. luckily It was just tools and a jumper wire for the extruder that I already had laying around but if I didn't I would have been forced to return it. I think someone opened it and started to install it then gave up and sent it back. please check the returns better before sending them back out as new. Upside it does work just fine so far and all my other ones have worked flawlessly. ... show more

    • One of the must have upgrades
This is one of the must have upgrades for your ender 3. When I had the Bowden style setup (the stock setup) I constantly had clogs and some filaments refused to work, they would instantly clog. Once I installed the direct drive the clogs instantly went away. I can run all of my filaments now. It prints TPU just fine aswell. If you are having clogs I reccomend this. ... show more

    • Works great but can no longer BLtouch
The new device work's great but I have last year's BLtouch and also have thrown away the box so I may have came with the other attached, but this has different mounting holes than stock so you can no longer use it. This also brings the new head down about a full rotation of the knobs for adjusting if you are already maxed you will have to raise your stoppers ... show more
