Description

Crayola Model Magic adds a new dimension to crafting creative art projects. Model Magic is a soft, easy-to-use modeling material that lets you and your kids create colorful, keepable art. Plus, it’s great to have on hand for slime supplies! Model Magic air-dries, usually within 24 hours. Pick up any of these 4-ounce packs in 10 assorted colors and make cool creations! Budding sculptors, potters, and animation artists get a chance to explore the medium of clay without the disappointment of crumbling dough or the fuss of kiln firing. This soft, spongy modeling clay is especially easy for young hands to mold into animal shapes, box lids, beads, or holiday snowmen: the possibilities stretch as far as the imagination. Preschoolers who need to strengthen their writing hands (for kindergarten readiness) will especially benefit from lots of clay playtime. No oven baking is necessary; the clay hardens on its own within 24 hours. Once an individual clay pack is opened, however, all the clay needs to be used in one modeling session, since reuse is not recommended. This set contains three bags of clay (blue, red, and green), three cutout shapes (flower, hippo, and elephant), and three sculpting tools. Extra colors can be purchased with the Variety Pack.

  • Good for baby prints
I liked these better than the other types of materials available for baby prints, I had a similar foam for christmas ornaments for my first and while this foam is a little firmer, It works better than the clay-like material I originally used for my second baby.

  • Love this modeling clay
The kids I work with love using this product. We made silly cow magnets and they looked so cute. All ages from Kindergarteners to Fifth Graders had fun. It is easy to work with, doesn't stain, and dries overnight.

  • Not the best, but great for clear slime.
Not very good, especially if you are giving as a gift or if you are molding with it, but it works well for clear slime.

  • Awesome for costumes & crafts!!
It's a good light weight modeling clay. I needed to make antlers for my halloween costume so it needed to be easily molded & light! It reacted well with the paint I applied afterwards, was very easy to mold, i even sanded it some after it dried & that worked well to smooth out the seams. Only issue is it did still crack some after it dried. Otherwise a lil goes a long way & it was DEFINITELY worth the price. ... show more

  • 4 stars
this was good for slime but if you just want it to play with i recommend putting lotion in it because it has a strong dingy scent and is very low stretch quality. unless used as air dry clay kids would get bored very easily

  • baby footprint ornament!
I purchased this before Christmas in order to make an ornament of my baby's footprint. It worked great! I was looking for something that would be easier than making salt dough or working with clay, and this worked out well! I even painted it with acrylic paint afterword and it dried beautifully. My only hope is that it maintains the shape and does well over time. I will update this review once I get our ornaments out next year to see how well it held up after a year. This stuff is seriously easy to work with. It doesn't exactly harden like clay though. ... show more

  • It's a good buy for the money
It is really good modeling clay easy to use easy to form in to any shape and doesn't dry out super fast so its really great

  • Good for handprint ornaments
Great stuff. I made handprint gifts for my son's grandparents using model magic. I bought two packs to make 3 large ornaments that fit both of his (1-year-old) hands. If you were just doing one hand, I'd say that one pack can easily make two ornaments. Remember to make a hole in it before you leave it to set. I used a straw to punch out a small round circle. ... show more
