We really love that you make the concentrate. And you can control how much sweetness is in it. We found the recipe that it comes with to be way too sweet. But we wondering if the recipe is designed for the yeast ferment versus mixing it with seltzer water.

I think the value for what you get is a bit off as you do have to have a few items yourself such as 2L bottles, vanilla extract, etc. The root beer itself was not a fan favorite as it tasted very strongly of gingerbread instead of the root beer taste you would expect. We got this for Christmas for our 10 yr old son who loves root beer. We really enjoyed the process of making it and then loved the taste! It’s a bit different tasting than your store bought types but delicious nonetheless.
