Description

Fiddle Leaf Fig, known as Ficus Lyrata, features solid, green foliage. Fiddle Leaf is great for large spaces. It does well in spaces that have bright, indirect sunlight. Place Fiddle Leaf Fig in a spot that receives bright light (5 or more hours of sunlight). Water your plant about once a week with approximately 2-3 cups and be sure all excess water drains away. Adjust as needed for your environment. Do not let the Fiddle Leaf Fig sit in water or overly soggy soil. The height at dispatch is approximately 34-inches tall, measured from the bottom of the pot to the top of the plant. The Fiddle Leaf Fig arrives in a black, 10-inch grower pot. To help with water drainage, this container does have holes. The Fiddle Leaf Fig is a moderate grower. Exact growth rate depends on the care provided and its environment. When the plant out grows the current container, it is time to repot. To repot the Fiddle Leaf, gently remove it from its current container and place it into a slightly larger container. Fill in any empty spaces with new and fresh soil and water thoroughly. This plant is considered hardy in USDA Zone 9-11. Be aware of third-party sellers; other companies try to imitate our quality. Product Care Instructions: The Ficus Lyrata, Fiddle-leaf Fig will need bright light year-round, but not direct sunlight. Move it a quarter turn every week or so to expose all sides to light for a natural upright growth. Water during the active growth period, allowing the soil to dry out slightly in between waterings. Water sparingly during the resting period. Drooping yellow leaves are a sign of overwatering. Use water soluble fertilizer; feed 3 times a year during growing season (spring-summer-fall).

Exactly as advertised. This is my fourth purchase from Costa Farms. They do a really good job with the packaging most of the time it’s 99.99% intact if not 100% intact. Delivery is quick because we live in the same state. And have nothing negative to say. The plant came healthy. Looks great and exactly like the picture size. All the purchases come exactly as advertisement and described. The packaging is very simple, open at the top, rip on the side take your plant out and you’re done. Update: I uploaded images of 5 feet fiddle leaf versions. I was going to do a separate review but it doesn’t allow me because it’s the same product different size. Both of them came in healthy. I was a little worried at the beginning because I missed a delivery by mistake. So they were held two days extra instead of two days delivery so that was a total four days they were packaged perfectly. Luckily, they had no damage on them. Letting them soak outside in the water/sun for a bit before repotting and bringing them and door. UPDATE: 2/5/2024 Everything in the review still holds true the only thing I would be a little bit careful for that one of the trees that are 5 feet came in more leaning on the right side, than directly growing in the center so what happened is that the roots and everything was very well established, except the was only one branch growing directly in the center, while the other five were going directly on the right side, making a tilt over. This is not the fault of the grower. It was just grown that way and probably nobody noticed it. It wasn't noticeable inside the box, but once taken out and watered and let it spread out a little bit. I would not be able to be put inside of a vase for indoors, (I tried) since it would lean on the 4 o'clock angle versus straight. I could have straighten it by force by tying it down/stake but the tree is very well developed with a lot of leaves it's pretty much already set in stone. I didn't want to return it because it would be too clumsy and I had no room for it outdoors. Luckily, Amazon customer support was helpful and they gave me a refund. Totally unexpected. Like I said, this is probably a fluke every other item bought by coastal Farm came in perfectly. I would be a little bit more careful for the larger trees like these you would probably want to contact them and ask them to specifically look from one that's more straight in the center. ... show more

Oh wow. This beautiful fiddle leaf fig went way beyond my expectations. I saw one that was probably twice the size at a bigger store for $99. This one’s going to grow to that size in no time. Shiny leaves and healthy. I love it. I’m definitely buying more.

Another update : it has been a few weeks and several more leaves have fallen--only 8 leaves left on the plant and a couple of those are brown spotted. Looks nothing like the photo and cost much more than the plant is worth. I could have gotten one in a nice, glass pot for 1/3 of the price. Not worth it. Hopefully it will live, but not sure. Will update. Update: It has been a few days and 3 more leaves fell off today. I posted another couple photos, the last 2 photos are 4 days after I received plant. Definitely not worth $30. I have purchased a few Costa Farms plants from stores in the past and they all have done very well--I still have them to this day, so I was disappointed in this one, especially for the price I paid. Looks nothing like the description photo. I brought the plant inside as soon as I received it. It was packaged nicely, most of the dirt still in the pot, though the plant in the description photo looks much bigger than the plant I received. The plant I received is only about 6 inches tall. It may say so in description, but the photo does make it seem larger. When I took the plant out, half the leaves were dead and fell off. The first photo is directly after I received the plant. I watered, placed in the included pot last night--the night I received the plant. Today, it looks much healthier and happier--I included 2 next day photos above. I will update as time goes by---hopefully everything will turn out and the leaves will grow back. If so, I would consider ordering from this company again in the future, but, as of now, I believe the cost was a little high for such a small plant with half the leaves gone. No bugs or diseases I can see so far, which is why I gave 3 stars---and I like that it included a bamboo stake and pot, though the pot is plastic. In my opinion, $30 is alot of money for this small a plant. ... show more
