Really enjoy the 16 ounce size of the Contigo flasks. Keeps my drink really cold, even overnight. When I wake up in the morning, I can have a refreshing cool or cold drink. Leak proof. I bought the Contigo to replace my OXO - GOOD GRIPS LiquiSeal Travel Mug, which was discontinued years ago. What I sought and found in the Contigo is simplicity. No steps to drink meaning I don't have to press a button or flip a lid. Easy to clean. Keeps my freshly brewed coffee hot.

I had purchased 3 different Contigo stainless steel water containers all at once to see which I preferred. The plain stainless steel ones in colors work just fine. But my favorite is this one because it has a rubber-ish type of band around the bottle in which to grip. I feels cozier with that grip, as well as it feels more steady due to this grip. This insulated water container keeps water HOT and water COLD for quite a while, which is a great feature. The top is made in such a way that it is leakproof, which is a big bonus. Mine is a grayish brown with a 1" silver band around the bottom and aI believe this is the Byron. Fits into my car holder, yet isn't so huge. I own several of these. When new, they keep my coffee hot for hours. Gripping the mug, it's hard to feel any heat escaping except through the lid. However, after a couple of years, the vacuum is lost (micro fractures from thermal expansion?) and the insulation isn't as good. Still keeps coffee hot for about and hour, but you can feel heet loss over the entire mug. Given the low cost, I can accept replacing them every couple of years. Other more expensive mugs suffer from the same problem. Note that these are not dishwasher safe as it will accelerate the degradation (more thermal cycles). The lid is easy to cross thread and the stopper is hard to pop open, but when closed properly, the mug is leak proof. I will keep buying these as long as the price stays low. ... show more

I bought a slightly less expensive, leak proof mug with 1000s of great reviews before this. Having never owned one of these things before, I thought it was fine. My coffee was still kinda hot when I drank it at work an hour and a half after pouring it. But then after about a month it started to leak. The company was kind enough to refund me, despite it being past the return period. I took a chance with this one, and all I can say is "wow." The temperature was the same as when I first poured it an hour and half earlier. It doesn't leak. And I love that you can drink from it like a regular cup.
