Bought this kit as a replacement for an older kit that was used up. This one has a nice option in that it comes with 6 different chips instead of the usual 4 that most kits offer. Makes a mean old fashioned. You can't go wrong if you like smokey drinks. Only used it for old fashioneds so far, but eager to try some smoked margaritas also. This set includes six tins of flavored wood ships for smoking, two metal ice cubes, some accessory tools for properly transferring the wood chips and two mesh ignition capsules in addition to the torch and actual smoking chamber with removable lid. The touch is listed as stainless steel inside but the exterior appears to be a metallic covered plastic that readily picks up finger prints. If it was a solid metal it would likely feel much sturdier as it looks much heftier than it actually is. It does produce a nice blue flame and once started by the trigger ignition can be locked to flame continuously until turned off. Nice feature! The smoking chamber is a nicely engraved wood. The first set I received had a defective torch that did not ignite when pulling the trigger. I thought you needed to start it with a match as there were no instructions included (that would have been nice for a first time user like myself). A friend told me it should light on its own when pulling the trigger, no batteries needed. So I returned the first unit and the replacement arrived quickly and worked just fine. Although I don’t have any others to compare this with, for a few dollars more you could probably get a more substantial unit that might last longer. But this is an adequate starter with more wood chip flavors than other sets I considered. ... show more

I like the variety of flavored wood, and the container for burning it. However, the torch is terrible. The safety switch failed almost immediately, and became unusable after the second use. It is in the garbage now and my new torch is on the way.

Nice kit. Some people just don't have common sense. You can't send butane through the mail so you will have to fill the lighter up on your own. After filling the lighter it should work perfectly and do wait it's suppose to do. Love it's
