I have a coffee table that has a lid on it that lifts up to serve as a higher table. And that lid also conceals a compartment full of candy and snacks, but I digress. It weighs 54 lb empty. It's full of books (and snacks), so it weighs more than 100 lb. And it's on Carpet. I need it to be exactly where it is in front of my couch, so that I can have it close enough to lift the top and eat off of it. But far enough that I can fully recline in my couch, but the footrest doesn't touch the table. So far so good. Unless I want to do Wii bowling. Or VR. Because it's definitely in the way for those activities. But moving it has pretty much been out of the question. Because every time I lift it - with someone'shelp - everything falls off, or falls out of the cubby holes below. And trying to slide it just bunches up my carpet. Until now! Because of the price for these skids, I was not positive this was going to actually work. But I read the reviews, especially on carpet, and I thought... because of the price, I won't be losing much if it sucks. But man, this is the solution I've been needing! The instant I got them, I put them under each of the four legs (which was not easy, but I managed). I was ready to exert a lot of effort to slide it as I began to push. But wow, it started moving immediately! Not much effort at all! My very first thought was, "You gotta be kidding me!" I should bought these almost 3 years ago when I bought the table! Now I can bowl in my living room again. And when I VR, I'm not constantly running into it, or knocking things off of the top of the table. For about $7, I have a game room! This is the table I used the gliders with. This is a hardwood table with leaf and HEAVY. Using the glide pads I had no problem moving the table around by myself. The picture does NOT show the glide pads only because I loaned them to a friend.
