The price for the amount you get is what caught my attention. Maybe you will have different thoughts but here's my description: woodsy, root beer (I suppose it's licorice), butterscotch, warm and musky. I didn't think it was very much like citrus but I guess it's in there. Smells fresh and simple. Old school. Somewhat artificial scent. It not a complex spicy scent and for me the scent fades completely within an hour to two hours max. But the large container last forever especially when it’s in a rotation with other aftershaves. I’d love to try the other Lustray aftershaves though. ... show more

Right off the bat, I used to be an aftershave/cologne slut - yes, I admit it. Years ago, I would spend tons of money in an attempt to have the finest smelling fragrances available. Why, I don't know - just an OCD habit I suppose. However, as time went on, I would discover that some of the most masculine and attractive fragrances were from companies that I never heard off - not to mention, not costing much at all. Such is the case with this Clubman Lustray Blue Spice aftershave. Firstly, it comes in a big bottle (the kind you may still see sitting in traditional barber shops, and secondly, it is ridiculously inexpensive for what you get. Fragrance-wise, it has a very smooth, attractive, laid-back smell. It is not overwhelming, yet lasts a good half day or more. It is both masculine, yet very appealing. The way I discovered it was that one of my friends who I see at the gym, always had this laid-back really nice smell. Finally, one day I asked him what the name of his aftershave or cologne was, and he replied "Lustray Blue Spice." I purchased my first bottle a few years back at a local barber supply company. Since that time, the Lustray name was purchased by Clubman and is now distributed through them, and I ordered my second bottle (the subject of this review) through Amazon. So guys - looking for something inexpensive that both you and others will love. Get this Blue Spice aftershave. The size of the bottle ensures that it will last you a long time. ... show more

Comes in a plastic bottle. Its a great item i just didnt like the baby powder scent. I may use this for a parts cleaner since the alcohol is so high, and as a fuel additive it could help remove water from tank and will make the lawn mower exhaust smell nice and baby fresh.

After a painstaking research effort to find a truly great “old barber shop smell” after shave lotion, I took the plunge. Received my package sealed great and really fast. Upon opening the package I was taken back at the quality of the bottle and the label. I assumed that someone had just poured a cheap version of perfume water in a bottling facility in their basement! OH BOY!! Don’t let that fool you, I opened the bottle and I immediately was taken back to my childhood and with my dad getting our haircut by our ancient aged barber! This is the best after shave lotion I have, even over the expensive brands I own. My wife even snuggles closer to me now, I’m a real turd, so I know it’s the lotion! I ordered this new-to-me product, hoping it would be better than the last bottle of Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum Cologne, which was evidently mostly alcohol with hardly any bay rum scent. This bottle of Lustray Bay Rum is, if anything, even weaker. With all due respect, if it doesn't have that real good noticeable bay rum smell right out of the bottle, it just doesn't count. I'm 80 years old, and maybe my nose isn't as sensitive as it once was, but it does still work, as far as I can tell. Sadly, this 'bay rum' is too weak for me to tell.
