Adhesion was great but took the paint and plaster off even with careful removal after just a few hours. No risk of items falling or not sticking though! Worked well on wood and glass. Would not recommend for other surfaces.

I have a unique use for double sided tape. I own a print shop and one of our machines is a paper cutter. The cutter can cut up to two inches of paper twenty inches wide at a time. The problem with these cutters is that they tend to leave marks on the top piece of paper when the paper is clamped in to place because of the way the clamp is made. When using harder things like chipboard (the cardboard on the back of a tablet of paper) the clamp is fine. To use it on paper they have developed a piece called a "false clamp" that gets bolted to the clamp. This has a flat, smooth surface the entire length of the paper. This clamp itself brings another problem with it. The top piece of paper is still a little marred and the stack of paper moves as it is being cut. The industry solution is to cut chipboard to fit and adhere it to the bottom of the clamp. This gives is a little more surface tension, so the paper doesn't move when being cut and leaves no mark on the paper until it is well used (as it compresses over time it will start to leave a mark). The chipboard must be changed from time to time. We had been using the double-sided tape used to hold screens in cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc. The problem with this is that you must cut two pieces and put them in a straight line parallel to each other on the bottom of the false clamp. This is time consuming and wasteful as you must clean the bottom of the clamp of the sticky stuff each time and throw the used tape away. With this tape we can pull the chipboard off and not worry about the little bits left behind. We simply wash the bottom of the tape and put the new chipboard on. As there are several hundreds of pounds of pressure put on the clamp it will eventually compress the tape so it must be replaced. Only once have we had to remove the tape. We got it a little crooked and with the pressure applied it gradually moved on us. We took it off by pulling on one side and pulling away from the clamp. Easy on and easy off plus saves not only time but money as well. We are incredibly pleased with the quality and are now finding other uses for it around the shop. I wanted to wait a bit before reviewing this tape and here is what I have experienced: 1. This stuff is insanely sticky. It will literally stick to just about anything but does best with hard, smooth surfaces. 2. It states that it is reusable and while I have been able to remove it, wash it and re-stick it the adhesion factor goes WAY down on reuse. 3. While the initial adhesion it great the long term hold under weight falls short. I had used this on a guitar pedal board to hold on angled pieces of metal to prop it up. After a few days the tape pulled away due to the weight which was somewhere between 5 - 8 lbs. Overall I think this is a perfect solution for times when you want to mount something lightweight on a one time basis. If you are needing more weight capacity or something reusable another product may be better. ... show more

I grabbed this to stick some foam puzzle pieces to my son's closet wall, and I have to say it worked great for this. It was easy to put up, has a strong grip, and has held up fine. I wanted to mount a specific tool where it would be handy, so I used this tape. The tool weighs about half a pound and I attached it by the handle to the side of my desktop computer. I secured it to the computer first, then mounted my tool, and it looked like everything wes fine for about an hour, then the tool fell off, taking the tape with it. I was surprised that it didn't stay stuck to the flat panel on the computerr, but it stayed on the curved handle instead. I don't know if I just tried to hold too much weight or if I just didn't have a big enough strip, but I'll only be using it for lighter weight items in the future. It re-stuck to the computer, and it looks like it will eventually work, once I get the weights settled. ... show more
