These are the best pizza's. Only thing is the price is slightly high for one pizza. Because it only comes the dough and the sauce. Everything else you have to add at additional cost. Used to come with the sprinkle cheese but does not anymore. So the price is a bit high because of that. But these are the best pizzas. This is inexpensive, easy to make and add whatever toppings you want. The pizza sauce is the best. It comes with 2 separate packages of dough mix, you can make a 12 inch with one or use 2 for a cookie sheet size.

I used to make Chef Boyardee pizzas at home when I was a kid. I especially remember the taste of the sauce: tangy and not too sweet. I haven't made these in years, decades, even. So, delighted to find that they are still available (and affordable), I ordered. When it arrived I found that Chef Boyardee has changed the kit since I was a teenager. In the old days, the kit used to contain a package of yeast dough mix, a tin of sauce, and a small tin of grated parmesan cheese. Now, the dough mix is a biscuit dough (not yeast), and the cheese is no longer included; just dough and sauce. Still great flavored sauce, though, and soda dough doesn't require rising time. I'm going to use my own activated yeast with it, and use shredded mozzarella and parmesan. The price is right. ... show more

Chef Boyardee pizza kits were a staple of my childhood and a favorite meal for my siblings and I to prepare with Mom. I’ve used these for inclusive meal activities in classrooms & as a treat for the various children in my life. Besides the fun and ease in making our own pizzas- it was so tasty and a good middle ground alternative to frozen or take out pizza. It was also an affordably priced family meal. (Don’t know exactly how much it was during my childhood in the 80’s and in Europe where I grew up- but a few years ago in the notoriously expensive Hawaii- it could be found at Walmart & Target for between $2 to $5 per double kit). Now it’s super hard to find & ridiculously priced. I caved & bought it despite the price mainly due to nostalgic reasons. While still tasty & easy/fun to make- it’s not the same as it was during childhood or even a few years ago. The sauce is different and lacks the proper flavor- I had to add a few things to get it to my liking. The crust was still excellent and came out perfectly- also have a few tricks from days of making it with Mom to ensure optimum pizza experience. I was annoyed that it no longer comes with that little packet of Parmesan cheese. Luckily I always have some on hand. Barring the minor changes in the flavor of the sauce and the obnoxious markup on it- I still really like and enjoy these pizza kits and will occasionally buy them again. ... show more
