  • Perfect for little helpers
Color: Purple
I purchased this for my roommates toddler for Christmas. She always wants to use my Dyson v8 to help us clean up, but it's too heavy and large (and expensive) for a toddler to play with. This toy is perfect. It matches my real one almost exactly! The long tube is a clear orange (unlike the real one, which is metal) so they can see all the dust bunnies getting sucked up as they go. It also makes it easier to see any random objects they'll undoubtedly try to shove into it. All of the attachments connect just like on the real one, but the red release buttons are a bit difficult for her tiny hands to press easily. Maybe they'll loosen up over time? The roller bar is hard plastic with no bristles. It rolls when you push it around, but does not spin on it's own. This is probably more of a safety feature than a flaw like some reviews say. Remember all those old electronic toys that would catch kids' hair, chew it up, and tear it out? Yeah. The dust collection cup flap thing opens when you pull the red release handle on top, but the entire top doesn't pull up like the real one. Another good move because that would be the first thing to get broken and act as a potential pinch point. Most of the collection cup is actually sealed and filled with fake colorful debris. This means the cup walls won't get all nasty (like the real one) and they can't try to jam toys in there. The actual dust (cat hair, mostly) collects in a narrow space in the center of the cup. This makes it easier to clean since you can just wipe it out with a rag or a bottle cleaner. The "filters" do not come off/pull out and I'm thankful. She more than likely would have tried to take them off of the real vaccum at some point if the toy did the same lol The construction seems fairly sturdy. She rammed it into every wall the first day and it didn't scratch or break. I don't see any sharp or ugly mold lines, pretty much every iconic external detail is there, and the color match is perfect. The obvious "downside" is that it doesn't really suck up much at all, especially when the batteries are low. I know that too much suction would be dangerous, but it isn't even powerful enough to suck up anything heavier than tissue confetti or cat hair. Not a big deal though. A $30 kids toy obviously won't work the same as a $400+ vaccum and that's okay. My biggest beef is the power source. It would have been a great idea to make it rechargeable like the real one. It's almost 2022. Why are we still clinging to AA batteries for toys that literally suck them dry? Plenty of toys are rechargeable now. Even my cat has rechargeable toys! That said, kids have imaginations so the actual functionality doesn't matter that much, it's just cool when they work. Oh, and the real vacuum attachments do NOT fit on the toy one. Trust me, she tried. Overall, this is an adorable, affordable, and fun toy for any kiddo. It's even better when you have the real one to match! ... show more

  • My kid is obsessed!!!
Color: Purple
I bought this toy Dyson vacuum for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. It looks just like the real thing, the lights and little “cyclone” beads make it extra fun, and it actually picks up tiny pieces which blew my mind. She pushes it around the house right next to me when I’m cleaning, and it keeps her entertained way longer than most toys. Super sturdy, easy to put together, and honestly one of the best kid purchases I’ve made. If you’re on the fence just get it! ... show more

  • Best toy Best toy
Color: Purple
It's my baby's best toy. He loves it! Works perfect, one think there's a door for the dust to be removed (it doesn't collect real life dust. Adjust for the look )That is very cheap and broke down

  • Cute and used by my 18M and 3YO Cute and used by my 18M and 3YO
Color: Blue
My son loves going around and following us around when we vacuum! He is 18 months old and it is perfect for his size. It’s light so he has no difficulty holding it up on his own and it has multiple attachments. My only complaint is the suction doesn’t really pick anything up. If it was a little stronger and could pick up a little dirt I think he would love it even more! (He likes to dump the stuff in the trash) but overall great purchase! ... show more

  • Heck yes
Color: Blue
First off, it looks just like the real thing! Amazing. Bought for 13 month old and all he did for 6 weeks is vacuum as soon as he woke up. Amazon batteries lasted 2 months with daily play. He’s taken some of the pieces off by now, but it doesn’t matter, it still pretends to vacuum and it still brings joy to a little boy who watches his Mom vacuum and all he wants is to do is be just like her. ... show more

  • Great If It’s Working; Needs Re-work/QA
Color: Purple
This is a great product for kids who want to mimic mom and dad cleaning, but also need a replica that not only works, but has a bit more oomph to the pretend suction power (read: motor speed/loudness). HOWEVER… this product could use some serious quality assurance by actual kids. A simple change would make all the difference if they want their intended demographic to be happy. I don’t know why they made one absurd choice in a “feature”. The button that turns on the motor isn’t an on/off switch. You don’t just click the button to turn the vacuum on like EVERY OTHER VACUUM IN THE WORLD - real or replica. The harder you press the button, the faster the motor goes. Wh…. Just… what? WHY?! After thinking about it as much as I have been forced to think about it, I’ve realized this is, quite possibly, the single worst feature I have ever seen on a toy. (I am trying to restrain myself from saying anything too harsh so I don’t get my review rejected, but this single ridiculous choice has caused my son so very many tears and I’m pretty upset about that.) My son is crazy about vacuums. I believe we have about every model of toy vacuum that says it “really works”. This toy, when we first got it, had the best “suction” out of all his toy vacuums and he LOVED it. It was a handheld AND it sounded like a real vacuum? Say whaaat? He was in heaven. All his other vacuums disappeared in his mind. Then the batteries ran out. Then they ran out again. Then again. I bought rechargeable batteries because this thing was EATING batteries. But, hey, if it works, then it makes my son happy, so I am happy and I will deal with it. Then, one day, not long after I got it - maybe two weeks or so, my boy said, “nee’ ba’wy, daddy.” So I replaced the batteries and handed it back to him. “Nee’ ba’wy, daddy!” Really? Huh. Weird. I checked the charge and the batteries were fine. I tested the toy and it seemed to work fine, so I handed it back to him. He tried it and immediately looked at me like I had lost my mind and asked for batteries again. I told him that it doesn’t need batteries… and he threw the biggest fit I have ever seen. This toy that he loved more than all his other toys combined was still working, but it had stopped working *for him*. Just like every other toy, playing with it caused the moving parts to wear out. Now, for a grown man the button still works just fine, but because it’s a variable button instead of a switch, and the button is wearing out, and my son is a toddler, the vacuum seems to be constantly running out of batteries to him. His toddler fingers no longer have the strength to depress the button the entire way, so, in his mind, this thing that used to be his jackpot win, now is just a source of emotional pain: he can see that it works, but HE can’t make it work. Seriously… who thought that was a good idea? A variable motor in a kids vacuum that could maybe pick up a piece of cereal at full speed? It’s absolutely absurd. I’m giving it three stars because this WAS the best toy vacuum he owned and he loved it. I almost bought another one, but… it would just happen again. And another toy vacuum that “really works” showed up soon after my son sadly retired this one, so he has long forgotten it. Make the button a switch. I might buy another. ... show more

  • Cool looking but that’s about it
Color: Purple
Our 3.5 year old and our 17 month old immediately fought over this toy. It looks almost identical to our Dyson V8, just smaller. Casdon really did nail the details - it even has a crevice tool! Unfortunately the realism ends there. The attachments are really hard to remove. I had to yank very hard to switch them. There’s no way a kid could do it themselves unless it loosens up over time. The suction is non-existent; the colorful “debris” in the canister doesn’t even move. I was really hoping it would actually pick up some dust or dog hair, but nope. When our older kid saw it didn’t work, she lost interest and wanted to go back to using the real vacuum. Our son wanted to play with it but was very frustrated that you have to hold down the button to keep it on. That’s one of the worst features of a real Dyson stick vacuum btw, and even worse for kids. I don’t understand why you’d keep that part accurate when you know that’s going to be next to impossible for younger kids to do. I used some tape to hold the button down and it sucked through 3 AA batteries in about ten minutes. I got it on sale for $24 so I guess it’s worth it. Going to see if either of the kids come back to it in the next couple of days and if not, I’ll return it. Casdon, if you actually read these, know that I would happily pay $50 for a kids vacuum that actually picks up some dirt and has a built in rechargeable battery that lasts longer. I know for safety reasons it can’t be very strong, but c’mon. Just enough to pick up a dust bunny would be great. ... show more
