The top of the pod is completely open. Maybe a quarter inch hole. Ground can come out. I used it an with a paper filter it worked great.

I love the convenience and environmental advantages of using this reusable K-cup. Easy to clean IF you use some paper filters with them. I really like my coffee stronger, so still enjoy my pour over method when I have the time.

Great product. Much easier to clean than a mesh filter pod and no need to use a paper filter in addition. Taste is good. Only complaint I can think of is the lid didn't last but 2 weeks before the hinge broke and the way the pod fits in my Keurig this causes problems. With the lid now easily falling off, I've had several times where I spilled coffee getting the pod out of the coffee maker. ... show more

    • Best I've Ever Used for Loose Tea
I don't drink coffee, but I've been using Keurig machines to brew cups, mugs, and travel mugs for years. 99% of the time I used loose tea, but occasionally I'll stick a teabag into it. This cup is the best I've come across. -- Instead of recessing the entire bottom of the cup to clear the needle, there is just a little indent to allow for it. That means you have a little more room in the cup for whatever you are brewing. -- The all-metal construction of the main body is nice. One thing I really like about it is that you can clear the used leaves with a flick of the hand. The adapter cups with the metal screening molded into the plastic body require more effort and fiddling around. -- And this is SO much better than the adapter that Keurig sells -- which requires you to remove a plastic part from the machine to use it. ... show more

A great little basket that replaces the waste and cost of buying the plastic version of your favorite coffee...IF you faovrite coffee even is available in the K-pods.     • Bottom breaks off over time.
I like this reusable cup. The coffee comes out well. It's almost entirely stainless steel. After a while, the bottom of the cup breaks off of the rest of the cup and you need to throw it out. It looks like the seam where the bottom connects to the sides is a weak-point and should be better reinforced. ... show more

    • We love this little pot
We have used these little metal pots for our coffee for years. They hold up well, easy to just rinse but we also throw it in the dishwasher. It will burn your fingers if you pull it out right after brewing to remove the grounds, so beware. I grip the plastic on the lid to empty it. Then rinse to cool it off and get the balance of the grounds out. ... show more
