The Advocate ClickTight convertible car seat has the patented ClickTight Installation System, three layers of side impact protection, Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator, and SafeCell Impact Protection for peace of mind while you're on the go with your child. Car seat installation is easy as buckling a seat belt thanks to the ClickTight Installation System. In the Advocate Car Seat you are surrounded in safety. This convertible seat features the patented Britax SafeCell Impact Protection system which includes a steel frame, energy absorbing base, V shaped tether to minimize seat rotation and staged release stitches that slow and reduce forward movement in the event of a crash. Britax designed the Advocate ClickTight Car Seat with 3 strong layers of side energy absorption; a deep foam lined shell, side cushions and head protection will shield your child from the most severe type of collision. Plush foam padding and fabric, along with 7 recline positions ensures premium comfort for your child. The 14 position easy adjust harness grows along with your child and you can change the height of the seat with just the push of a button no rethreading necessary. Have peace of mind knowing your child's harness is within range of proper tightness. With the sound of a click thanks to the Click & Safe Snug Harness Indicator you will know it’s correctly adjusted. I really wish britax could step it up and make their car seats have cup holders. The side cup holders that they sell separately are terrible, do not stay and destroy the actual car seat were it clips in over time. But aside from that we love this seat. My daughter does have a harder time buckling herself in this seat then her old Graco seat so I do have to loosen the straps so she can do it herself and then tighten them back up again. The fabric is soft and so far has held up to spills, markers and food very well, true to color in the product photos as well. We love the chemical free materials and the saftey standards are great. Installing is so easy and quick which is a major selling point, but keep in mind they are heavy! Overall love the seat and the brand...just add some cupholders please. ... show more

I love this car seat! My husband tells me I should be a spokesperson for Britax. I know a properly installed is the safest seat. However, this one provides peace of mind. It’s heavy (okay for me!) as it’s a steel frame. I trust that my baby is safe in this seat! It’s easy to install once you get a few practices in. I love this seat so much that I convinced my mom to get one for her car because my nephew rides with her daily. Other reviews mentioned annoyance with how the LATCH buckles are stored. This seat’s preferred installation method (per the manual) is with the car’s lap shoulder belt. So there’s no need to use the LATCH at all. Once your child reaches 35 lbs, the car belt has to be used so may as well go with the preferred method on the get go. Additionally, using the car lap and shoulder belt with the clicktight has given me the most secure installation of any car seat I’ve installed. It does not move. ... show more

I like this car seat because of its safety features. I also like the size, it has room enough for my kids making it very comfortable. I went to different stores to compare at least 20 different car seats, from different brands and all Britax models as well, and I found out that the Advocate has the best padding of all. In second place it was Chicco Nextfit. I got the first one in 2017 at Buy Buy Baby and a second one in 2019 on Amazon and I found it for $50 less than in the store and in the store was $25 more than in 2017. I don’t believe in car seats that would last ForEver, or any kids gadget for that matter, as it will inevitably wear off and get nasty if kids have snacks and/or drinks in the car, or shoes on, or mud in their clothes, etc., so I rather get a new one when they need to transition to a bigger seat and don’t compromise their safety. By the way, the covers are detachable and can be washed. What I don’t like is that it’s very heavy AND that makes it difficult to install. It is a little bit harder to install it facing forward. When buying a seat for your child, why buy anything other than the safest seat available? This is my second britax advocate clicktight, and I'll never buy anything but Britax. I've had another kind of seat, and just no. It's for emergencies only. I'm very thankful for the addition of the safewash fabric. This was not available when I had my first. I definitely recommend buying the liner, too. Crumbs collect in the bottom, under the clicktight lid, and cleaning under there is a major pain. Also, this is a pretty large seat. I drive a Ford fusion and from having two in the back I can tell that there is no way a third can fit. I can sit inbetween, so there is room for a smaller adult or child, but it's not somewhere I would want to ride for a long period of time. Also, both of my littles are rear facing and that greatly reduces the amount of legroom for the driver and front passenger. Being 5ft 5 inches I can drive comfortably but it's a different story for my 6ft 1in husband. He drives a Jeep Grand Cherokee and we find that he has the legroom issue in it, as well. It doesnt matter to me though, I'd rather get a larger vehicle than compromise on safety. Also, these are made in the USA, which is icing on the cake for me. ... show more

    • Easy to install, clean and baby likes being it it!
Love how easy it is to install, it feels so safe and honestly my baby loves being in it! Compared to her infant car seat she is a lot happier. We have had one blow out, and it was a breeze to take off everything and wash it. Also I feel insanely happy how secure and safe she is in this car seat. I don’t really hear the clicking noise unless it’s dead quiet but I always check anyway to make sure she is in. Oh and the best part? IT DOESNT TWIST. I hated that about car seats, when you’re trying to leave but you realize it’s twisted and you stand there for 5-10 minutes with a screaming baby in a parking lot with door open... not fun. This makes putting her in so fast and when we switch cars so easy. A lot of weight off my shoulders with this purchase. ... show more
