I just came back from 21 days in Europe. The luggage endured 6 flights, 5 trains and a bus, as well as wheeling it across many blocks of cobblestones all without even the slightest wear. I love the trunk-like style, and got many compliments on it. It's very spacious and I was able to fit a mad amount of clothes, shoes, boots, toiletries and souvenirs; and due to it being about 3 pounds lighter than other luggage this size, it still came in underweight with the various airlines. I was a little concerned that it might be considered over-sized, but all international flights I used never even questioned the size... well LOT airline at first said it was oversized but then relented and just passed it through. The other thing that makes this piece stand out above the rest is the 80/20 easy open lid...this is a must have... the 50/50 suitcases are very cumbersome to open. The only thing I wish it had were more color options... Yellow, Aqua, Pink? Let's face it, women need more space than men, some feminine colors would go a long way! ... show more

For the price, this should be an incredible carry-on spinner. It's good, but not fantastic. The latch for the laptop opening is just ok. I've had it come open on more than once, so I had to start locking the three-digit lock. Kind of a pain when you're not checking it in. I did have this dropped from tailgate height when a valet mispacked our luggage. No damage to my laptop, so I guess that's a testament to its good construction and padding. I like the color, although it is a bit darker than shown. The ID tag holder isn't the best. I have lost one ID card already. I do like the contrasting orange zipper stitching which helps it stand out on the luggage carousel. I've taken this on a number of flights and, other than the computer compartment opening, have had no issues. I do like this line of luggage. Overall construction quality is excellent. The interiors are very nice and very functional and it has stood up to American, Hawaiian, and Delta luggage handlers without breaking. ... show more

I fly about 180 flights a year and use my luggage frequently. This medium size B&R hard shell is one of the worst pieces of luggage I’ve owned- and that’s a remarkable achievement for the high price and number of suitcases I’ve owned. After about eight flights the shell cracked. The suitcase itself feels flimsy due to weird thick zipper- it wobbles awkwardly. Otherwise the build demonstrates expected quality from B&R with smooth wheels and good handle. I have three other B&R suitcases (fabric) and they are solid. This one is a piece of junk. My ‘Regular brand’ hard shell suitcases usually last about 200 flights and are a third the price of this one. I suggest passing on this piece of luggage if you travel frequently. ... show more

I like the case. The couple issues I have are price to quality/features. It’s expensive and at the same time it is a very basic case. I like the suited functionality. The only thing I think is wrong is the thickness of the shell. Seems a bit too flexible and thin, just waiting for it to get punctured, or scratched through. It’s checked luggage, so it needs to be a little more abrasion resistant. I only kept the case due to the excellent warranty coverage, we’ll see how the first claim goes, because it will end up with a hole in it sometime soon. ... show more
