Thought this was a little hokey, when I opened it, but it is great! Works so well and easily. Great for a little snack, or works well, basically unattended, at a cocktail party! Cleans up very easily, I love it. Lots of my friends will be getting it for Christmas this year!

This thing is so much fun and was a great hit with everyone we had over. My sister brought a variety of meats and cheeses for appetizers and when I brought out the partyclette things went from good to great. Probably the best cheese to melt was a swiss which I eventually paired with a slice of Soppressata which I poured over a thin sliced baguette. The first time I tried it we used an aged gouda which we poured over seasoned croutons (all I could find) which also turned out to be amazing. And while it seemed to take a bit to melt with so many people around, it really wasn't long and any faster and we would have just gorged ourselves and not eaten dinner. ... show more

Now, melted cheese is on the daily menu. Is really working nicely. A bit tinny maybe the length of your palm but it's ok. Mind the sharp-edged rod that holds the handle, because I didn't, and I got a long cut on my finger and bled when I first open it. Few days of making melted cheese and even frying Halloumi Cheese, and the candles are not gone yet. ... show more

This thing is great! I got one a year ago Christmas and it was love at first bite. I have a specialty cheese store close by that has a variety of raclette cheeses and I love to mix and match! It's portable, easy to use and very easy to clean! Use the tea lights on the go, the tray can also be placed on the stove to conserve the candles. It heats the cheese beautifully.
