Description

The BOSCH JS260 top-handle jig saw provides a sturdy footplate for accuracy in the cut, as well as a 6.0 Amp motor and variable-speed control. The sturdy motor produces up to 3, 100 strokes per minute, with a 3/4 in. Stroke length. The variable-speed dial controls the maximum speed, while the accelerator trigger regulates the operating speed. This Jig saw is engineered with a low- vibration plunging design for cutting accuracy and smooth operation. It has a large heavy-gauge steel footplate. The JS260 multidirectional blade clamp delivers the superior grip of T-Shank blades (but it does not accept U-Shank blades). The tool-less T-Shank blade-change system makes blade insertion and removal quick. The tool has an always-on dust blower for max cut-line visibility and an ambidextrous lock-on button.

These do the job. Price point is lower than some, higher than others, but these blades hold up well when used on a wet saw to cut rock and marble. I had a 15 year old Felker wet saw with a 7" continuous diamond blade and it had cut a lot. Getting ready to do a backsplash with a Mosiac tile with glass and marble. Wonderful value. Cuts even the glass tiles very cleanly. I'm a home project person and it did make me look like a pro from the way it cuts. Had about 17 feet of backsplash to cut and fit plus cutting for 4 outlets. The blade was at the end of it's life by the time I finished. Some reviewers claim that this blade does not cut glass well. My experience is that it cuts glass perfectly! I used this blade to cut glass mosaic tiles and it did so with absolutely no chipping and with a perfectly clean cut. I could not be happier with this blade. The key to a good cut is to not force the blade through the tile, but make the cut slowly at the natural rate that the blade wants to cut. I bought this to upgrade a 6 inch lapidary saw. It is a tight fit being 7 inches but I made it work with some small mods to the saw. The blade is thicker than most lapidary blades and stiffer both of which I wanted. I tend to cut hard material and push the size limits. I may be running the blade slower than its specs but I'm still happy with the results. I'm going to try varying the rpm up by changing the pully sizes but need to be careful to balance against the motor output. I'm running oil in the saw and don't think its going to be an issue. This blade didn't make it for 1 day. Been buying blades for 45 years and this was the most disappointing blade I ever bought. Just so dull it just broke tiles.I had to put the old blade back on to finish kitchen floor

I purchased this blade to cut rocks to be polished. I installed it in my Delta chop saw. I made a wood fence that also covers the table. The shop vac in place if the dust sack takes care of most of the dust. A little bit of water spritzed on the blade keeps it cool. Works like a champ.
