I’m really relieved that the quality of this wallet matches the price tag. It definitely couldn’t pass for real leather, but it still feels well made and sturdy. I gave it 4 stars because I think the design is lacking a bit. Only two of the five card slots allow for the card to stick out at the top and be easily accessible, everything else you have to dig for or leave loose in the open sections. Also, for a wallet of this size I would expect several card slots, an id pocket, a place to store bills flat, a coin purse, (I had a previous, smaller wallet with all of these features) but this is just a basic accordion design. Which some people prefer, but I just don’t think it justifies the size. For reference, it is exactly the height of a standard iPhone and a few cm wider. That being said, it will still fit in my back pocket, just with a lot of bulk. It won’t fit in the pocket of my coat though, which might end up being a dealbreaker for me. I would love if Well Read improved the design or even just replaced the zipper with a kiss-lock. Kiss-locks just last so much longer than zippers (which are always the first thing to go) and I’m disappointed that this otherwise sturdy wallet will break before I get the full lifespan out of it, as is unavoidable with zip-around wallets, even designer ones. Still, it was far too cute to pass up and the fact that it looks like a book really does make me smile. ... show more
