1st start by saying how many years have we all been running those bulky round fenders? I have a new short sided skiff and tried to run the conventional fenders. Needless to say they really don't work great at the dock. I ran across these thinking there had to be something out there more effective. This new style bumper was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Granted they are a bit more expensive, but completely protect the finish of my new boat. They are fully adjustable, with various mounting options / positions. I got this to serve as a bumper on my dock that I could remove when not needed. It works perfectly by putting around the pier and allowing to hang. The included slip nut allows easy adjustment for height and the long slender bumper provides a good coverage along the pier for boat bobbing and other movement against the pier. But if I wanted to use this on my boat it has four holes that also allow it to also sit horizontally if needed. ... show more

I love these new buoys that are low profile, but still very protective. I have only used them once or twice this season, but with the 4th of July coming up I am sure that they will definitely be a topic of conversation on the lake. Not only are these slimmer and just as protective as standard buoys, but the back side is actually hollow other than some support lines that keep it stable so I have actually flipped it over and used it as a makeshift cup / snack holder lol.
