I've had this blouse in my cart for a few months debating whether to purchase it or not. I love the look of houndstooth. I wasn't sure about the fabric - would it be too thin, not drape well, not fit well. I immediately tried it on when I received it and it fit perfect. It was a soft drape without being too thin. this obviously goes well with black slacks but also with my jeans. I wore a chunky silver necklace and it was a perfect outfit.     • Very nice blouse, but colors aren't same as photo.

I really do love this blouse, but the colors aren't anything like what is in the photo. They are much darker and bolder. I still really like it, but I'm glad I wasn't counting on the colors in the photo to go with something specific. The fit is very nice and the fabric is soft and lightweight.

THIS IS AN UPDATE ON THE REVIEW I WROTE AFTER MY FIRST PURCHASE IN SEPTEMBER OF THIS YEAR. AT THAT TIME I WROTE: Leopard print is easy to get wrong: too much red in the brown, too much blue in the black (a blue-black can be awful when put up against brown, tan and beige. In this case no such problem the coloring was wonderful, the rosettes were not too big not too small: just right. At home it went well with my favorite camel and tan- it looked great with a rich dark brown skirt. I have warm coloring (I have been declared an "Autumn" by every source I've gone to for help defining my best colors. This shirt was perfect for me: my black leather jacket looked great too. My dark brown-black suede skirt made me want more. It was nicely made and in my hands the fabric had a nice slightly heavy silk-ish feel. LOVED IT. PERFECT FOR AUTUMN and WORKS GREAT AS A NEUTRAL TOO. BUY one if you like the look online.....my bet is that you probably will not regret this one. The first blouse arrived mid September and every time I wear it I get compliments for how good it looks on me. Fact is when I look in the mirror the coloring seems to work really well with my skin tone. People told me my eyes look green (my eyes are hazel). I looked in the mirror at home and behold even I could see it looked like I had green eyes. This has happened before: sure, I make a point of buying colors that look good with my warm skin. Colors that bring out the green in my eyes I keep around to wear on days when Im tired and want to look healthier or just my best. Sometimes I go ahead and purchase another to have in reserve in case something happens to the first piece. I've lost clothes I like a few times: one time a dry cleaner lost a favorite sweater; another time I forgot to look in all the closets and let a pair of favorite jeans in a closet - by the time I realized id lost the jeans it was too late the hotel only keeps these things for so long..... losing clothing is a rare event but staining clothing is not. So when I find something that I really love or that really works with my skin tone I take no chances and like to have an extra at hand just in case something happens. ... show more

    • Design flaw with the buttons

I’m 5’7” and normally wear a size 10. 36D & I usually opt for a large shirt. I sent my 1st shirt back bc there was a fabric tear around the shoulder. I asked for a replacement shirt (same design) bc “things happen” & what are the odds there is problem with my replacement, right? We scheduled professional family pics that included extended family & were wayy overdue; this particular shirt fit into the agreed upon color scheme perfectly. I received the replacement shirt quickly & briefly tried it on before the shoot. It fit & no tears. HOWEVER during the shoot, I noticed the button around the breast was undone, exposing the girls. Even though I was certain it was properly buttoned earlier. Thank goodness I wore a push up bra that day and my girls look great (whew)! I rebuttoned & made sure all the buttons were securely fastened in each button hole. A few mins later, the photographer pointed out the button under the breast & the next one down were unbuttoned. Long story short, even though buttons were securely fastened, they kept randomly coming undone. I felt uncomfortable & like an exhibitionist all day. Overall, I don’t recommend this shirt. The pros: The design is pretty & the cotton is light weight. The cons: buttons just don’t stay buttoned. It’s probably ok if you wear an elegant cami or tank under it. ... show more

This shirt is amazing! The fit is great (a little baggy which is perfect for tucking into bottoms) and the material is super soft. I also got the 90s color print and I received SO MANY compliments on it. I wish there were more fun patterns to choose from!

This blouse is prettier in person than in the picture. It can dress up a pair of jeans or can be worn with a skirt or dress pants. I washed it and it required just a little ironing. It took me just a few minutes to run the iron over it. Even the it had full length sleeves, they can be rolled up without the bulk. ... show more
