I needed an infrared heater. The description says this is an infrared heater. It isn’t an infrared heater. It’s a forced convection heater which doesn’t do what I need. I needed to heat an object. This heater doesn’t do that. It heats air. Listing should be corrected.

This little heater comes with temperature selection, hi and low settings and an energy saver function that basically cuts the power from 1500 to 850. Works great for small spaces. Does not have automatic shut off when knocked over. That would have been a good feature to add but it does have temperature settings which most small inexpensive heaters don't have. When I received this, and used it a couple of times, I didn't like it for couple reasons...I guess it was because I was use to the other ones I purchased for the price. And I also didn't like it didn't have a safety knock on the botton (like when it topples over or your cat knocks it off it will automatically turn off). Then I used the energy saver button and since i sleep with it by my bedside and don't use the house gas/heater it will automatically lower on the energy saver button so i don't get too hot. And it saves me a lot of energy. It was on sale when I purchased it. It was definitely worth the money. ... show more

First off I didn't like that it was shipped by just throwing a shipping label on the product box. I was worried it wouldn't even turn on with the dents all over. It works. The temp control is a great option but I feel it shuts itself off before the room actually warms up. For the price tho it's worth it ... show more

This review is for the desktop one, not the power fan. First off the description says there is a Low and High HEAT MODE and a Low and High FAN mode. But there is no fan mode, without the heat being on. I needed a fan as well, so I will be returning it for this reason. Second there is NO tip over protection. Seems like a simple/cheap enough feature Thirdly, despite the manual saying so, it does NOT save the setting that you were last on. I set it to low, 70 degrees, then hold the button to turn it off. Then (without unplugging it) I tap the button, and it starts at the first setting. So if u want to run a certain setting, u may have to push the button 13 times to get to it, every time. It heats the room well, is pretty quiet, with only a slight buzz, which I assume is the heating element. Sadly the lack of a fan mode is a deal breaker for me. I hope the update the description for everyone else. ... show more
