My sister referred this product to me after trying to find something to help keep her place clean and allergen-free for her children that started to develop allergies not only does this help and make things easier for her to clean she has used this product in ways that I never thought I would use them in, for instance, the mop attachment she uses to get to the top of her finished cupboards. My cupboards are not finished so I need to be a bit careful, But I use the steam to spray a light mist or steam a light mist of hot water on the cupboard and then use the microfiber pad to just gently wipe it away as opposed to applying the unit close to the unsealed and I'm finished painted cupboards that I have. I did not buy this for my cupboards though I purchased this to clean the tile on my kitchen counters and I am absolutely amazed at the job that this did my kitchen looks brand new not only does it look new it smells good and part of having an old house is trying to get rid of all smells and as I have worked meticulously through my house on a daily basis the Basic smell of the home as you come in is not as musty which is really great because normally when I have clean my carpets with vinegar and windows with vinegar it smells clean after two or three days but you have to smell vinegar for two or three days and with the steam cleaner I've used it on the windows I've used in the tub on the kitchen counters on the kitchen floor and even started using it To spot treat my carpet and then begin working on small sections of my carpet at a time and places where there has been dogs smell from accidents I put my nose right next to the carpet to smell it after two or three days and the smell is all but diminished now these are not saturated pet stains but my little dog had an accident I got majority Of the year and up right away but no matter what cleaners are used it's still had a faint odor if I would put my nose next to it and smell the spot but this unit has helped clean those areas to where there's hardly any smell at all. I can only use it for about an hour or so at a time if I am doing things that are chest height or shoulder height as my arm does get tired after a while from holding the unit but I like the weight of it so that I don't press too hard or scrub too hard on things that are not finished So it is a nice reminder in my old house to be gentle. However, it would be nice to be able to use it for more than just an hour at a time based on my limitations. This unit heats up extremely fast and is one of the key points that I like about it you open the top of the water and away you go and no matter what angle you have the unit even upside down this unit will still extract water needs to create the steam it is an excellent unit and I recommend it to everyone ... show more

I love how clean the floor is without cleaning products. This sanitizes and cleans so well. It gets super hot and the pressure of the steam is good. There is a plastic smell when mop that goes away. I find the machine a bit bulky and top heavy. It constantly tips over. Definitely a negative. The power is pretty good. It is a work out for me to do more than one room at a time. I do not find that this machine leaks at all. This product was a little pricey but with 2 big dogs I like how clean my floors can be. I recommend with caveats ... show more

I really loved it at first, had it for two years, always used the bissell cleaner with it and distilled water but for some reason there’s some corrosion on the little plastic ball that sucks in the water to make it steam. I tried cleaning it but it almost looks melted away which is so weird, it no longer can take in water so it just doesn’t work at all. Even if you had purchased the warranty it’s only for two years so odds are they won’t replace it. Even the bristle attachments were melting after just a few uses. With how much money I spent I’d rather try a different brand this time around. My mom has a shark so I might try that instead. It also causes hand cramps because you have to hold the button the whole time. Also if you’re a man don’t bother because the handle isn’t large enough for my husband to comfortably use. A bit sexist tbh to only make it to fit women’s hands. ... show more

I've been wanting a steam cleaner for weeks now, and after I finally settled on this model (following loads of scouring the web), I was so excited when it arrived earlier this week! I mainly wanted it to make life easier when cleaning the shower/bathtub, so that's the first thing I tried it on. Set-up was a breeze; I found the unit very easy to fill, and it is also very easy to switch out the attachments (but maybe too easy, as I accidentally twisted one of them off during use in trying to get the right angle). As I began work on the shower, I did appreciate how easily it loosened up the grime but quickly saw the drawbacks to this product as well. #1, the pad gets too wet too quickly, especially when you're using the higher steam setting. #2, the unit shows its weight when you're cleaning vertical surfaces. #3, the attachments can't pivot, and in combination with the size of the unit, I wasn't able to get all the way to the bottom of my shower door before it hit the floor. I would have had to turn the unit upside down, which I'm assuming isn't a great idea. #4, the level of steam was fairly inconsistent. All in all, I would say mission accomplished in that I didn't have to put in as much elbow grease to get my shower clean, but the process actually seemed to take longer because the brush attachments are so small. Where the unit did well was in the cracks and crevasses, for which I used the grout attachment. It was able to get rid of dirt that I'd never be able to touch by hand. I have yet to tackle a floor surface, but thus far, I'd say jury's still out on whether it's worth the $130 investment. Final verdict: The first run this Bissell had here was also its last. The drawbacks I outlined initially were too much for me to look past, especially the steam being inconsistent. I returned the item for a refund. ... show more
