So....I will start off by saying that this stuff is soooooo good. I have been on a hunt to try to recreate these chai lattes that a local coffee place makes. Mainly because it's a little bit of a drive to get there and quite frankly my addiction is getting a little expensive and out of hand. But anyway, this stuff is as close to it as I think I will ever get. They taste almost identical and I could not be happier!!! Now for why I only gave this 4 stars. It doesn't mix into milk very well unless your milk it HOT. And unfortunately for me, I prefer my drinks iced. Last night I ended up making my latte and refrigerating it so I didn't have to ice it after making it and water it down. So that worked, but it's not ideal for making a drink and enjoying it as soon as you make it. You also seem to need a pretty large amount of the powder to get a nice flavorful drink, so that makes stirring it in even harder still. One last thing to note since it kind of surprised me upon opening. The can is huge. You're like whoa, this is going to last me forever!!! But then you open it and it's only about half full. Which again, not great since you seem to (at least in my case) need to use quite a bit at a time. Overall, I plan on purchasing again because I am very much in love with the flavor of this tea, but I am just being nit-picky about some things that could be slightly better! ... show more

I tried a different brand before getting the Big Train. It seemed watered down or i needed to fill half of my thermos with the mix. The Big Train Chai doesn’t use as much mix, but it tastes so good, it’s like I bought it at the local donut shop. Even 7-11’s Chai latte is pretty good, but the Big Train is better and buying this bag of mix is cheaper than buying an extra large cup everyday at 7-11. ... show more

I like to think of myself as a Chai snob. I have been to most coffee shops and this is all I order. I will throw a bad cup of chai in the trash before I walk out never to return. Let me tell you about this! It was recommended by a friend and she must have known how conceited I was when it comes to Vanilla Chai. This is hands down the most fantastic premade Chai on the planet (at least my planet). When I can't get my favorite from my local gal down the street, this is 100% comparable. I have made this with whole milk, 2%, 1% and water. The three milk options were the best, the water option was gross, so just don't even bother mixing with water, it will just debunk my review. But I did put that warning out there, so, use water at your own discretion. So, brew up a nice hot cup of Big Train Vanilla Chai, grab a good book, curl up and enjoy the cold days, it's so worth it. ... show more

I love to drink the tea hot. It’s not bad cold. I just prefer it hot. The tea goes too quick if I drink it often ( like 3 times a week). I don’t drink that often and savor each time I do. I like the chai lattes.

I frequent our local coffee shop for the best Chai Lattes. Since this is my drink of choice I’ve tried many many different chais. Even tried to make my own mix but nothing beat the local shop. One of the workers disclosed that this was the brand they use so I immediately ordered and wasn’t disappointed! I’m now on my second bag 😁 This is a sweet chai latte mix, no bitterness that some chais have. I do tend to add less mix than recommended because it suits me. Ever since Dunkin Donuts discontinued their original Vanilla Chai tea offering, first changing the name to spice tea, then dropping it altogether and replacing it with something that tastes nasty, I quit going. This stuff is really close if not identical to what I used to pay quit a lot per cup for. It's super simple to make I like about 6 oz milk and 6 oz of water to one scoop ( a bit less sweet), which is 3 TBL. I add a bit of sugar free hazelnut to it and it's perfection! ... show more

I finally ran out of my other brand and switched to the Big Train Vanilla Chai Tea Latte Instant Powdered Mix, 1.9 Pound can. I instantly noticed how much more flavorful it is! It's SO good! I will be buying more when this can runs low! I just wanted to come back & add that I bought a can of the Big Train Spiced Chai because I loved the Vanilla so much, but the price had gone up and the Spiced was still at the lower price. NEVER AGAIN will I get the spiced. As it cools it gets a coagulation film on the top and you have to scoop it out to be able to drink the tea without a coagulation mustache. :| Thankfully the price came back down on the Vanilla! ... show more
