    • Excellent Game for Large Groups
This is a great birthday, youth group, team member building, party, or all around large group game. It is definitely more of an event so make sure to plan to play this one as you need at least 10 players for the best experience. The game takes a few plays to get the nuance but the investment is worth it. The mind games that you get into while pleading your faux innocence are fantastic. There is player elimination which can be a turn off but I think it is just as much fun to watch the drama unfold while knowing all of the hidden info. Just remember that if you're out of the game to NOT TALK!!! Which leads me to the biggest weakness of the game which isn't the games fault. It is very player dependent. If you aren't comfortable with bluffing, lying, or basically acting like a politician, you may not enjoy this one. But if you like to schmooze and talk your way out of a jam (just remember not to talk when you're eliminated) then I would highly recommend Ultimate Werewolf. ... show more

I have been a fan of Werewolf and Mafia style games for a long time now. Ultimate Werewolf Extreme is easily the best version of any of those games! The art is amazing, the variety of roles is vast, and the quality is top notch! I love the addition of the Ivory Tower, which let's the first person eliminated be protected in the next game! My friends and I have been playing Werewolf for many years now and I recently bought this as my old copy was pretty worn. What an upgrade!!! This version has so many unique roles and the art is incredible, if you are looking for a version of this game worth its value, this one definitely has my vote. No pun intended :P ... show more

    • Great for groups!
Our group had a ton of fun playing this game. We wanted to get something that everyone could participate in and Ultimate Werewolf is perfect for that. Love the new artwork too!

    • Fun but could be better.
As most of my board/card game purchases are for my student to play, Werewolf series was my best purchases yet so far. And since my One Night Werewolf cards and the Daybreak cards are old, decided to buy this and the expansions. Love it that it is like a regular playing cards, not thick cardboard like cards(ONW) and that it has many roles. The only thing I have a complaint about is the app. Scanning the QR code and how difficult to use the app is pretty annoying. QR code won't read right away. We play it multiple times, and it is a hassle when trying to reset it on the app. Why wasn't it made like the other app?     • Don't buy it for the QR
If you're just starting out with Werewolf, this version is OK-ish, though there are tons of repeated base cards (Villager, Werewolf, etc) because that supposedly allows you to set up 3 large, separate games. (But who's likely to need to do that anyway outside a Werewolf convention?) But the key feature that drew me in was the QR scanning, which was designed to make the setup and management of the game much smoother for the moderator. Sounded great! The problem was that scanning was really problematic. No matter what the lighting conditions, the QR app struggled to recognize the cards (perhaps because the QR code was located in a very dark region of a glossy card). If you're playing with a smaller group, that may be fine. But if you're playing with a larger group - we often play with 20 or more players - it's just not viable. You'll end up spending most of an hour just trying to scan the cards into the app. The idea was great, but the implementation is a disappointment. ... show more

as experts werwolve player you do not need cards, but for beginners. box is overprized and app good idea but not working. the worst thing is cards are not only overpriced, but they are also thin and cheap made.

A very fun game if you can get a big enough group together! I really enjoy playing this with my friends. People have been complaining about the app for this game, but it is currently being upgraded by Bezier Games and works great for me! Love it.
