Features

  • Protective UV FilterThis UV filter reduces haze and minimizes ultraviolet (UV) rays while improving contrast. Perfect for capturing high altitude and snow photos without the bluish cast. Keep this filter on your lens to protect against dust, scratches, and bumps.
  • High-Quality Optical GlassThe quality optical glass protects your lens from dirt, scratches, fingerprints, and unexpected damage.
  • Nano-CoatingsFeaturing 30 layers of optical coatings and a light transmittance of up to 99.8% (and a minimum light reflectance of less than 0.1%), the multicoated UV filter blocks out ultraviolet rays ranging from 300nm to 410nm to reduce flare and ghosting while ensuring accurate color rendition. The coatings are also anti-static, oil-resistant, water-repellent, and scratch-resistant.
  • Strong Lens FrameMade of aluminum-magnesium alloy, the filter frame is strong and durable. With precision manufacturing and a matte black anodized finish, the screw-on filter is easy to use and has fewer reflections from the metal filter frame. The 0.22/5.5mm thick filter measures only 0.14/3.5mm in depth when screwed on your lens to avoid lens vignettingideal for wide-angle lenses and telephoto lenses.
  • CompatibilityCompatible with all 43mm lenses. Please find out your cameras lens thread size before buying. The thread size will be marked on the lens or the lens cap with the followed by a number.

  • Excellent fit
Size: 49mm
Perfect lens protector

  • First UV filter that will actually protect my lens.
Size: 82mm
I typically use UV filters to protect the lens when I'm in a situation where it may get dirty or scratched. Better to hurt a filter than need to replace a lens. However, your photography has to go through every piece of glass between your subject and your filter, and the image quality is only as good as the weakest link. I've often purchased these filters only to never use them because they harm IQ so badly. And if they aren't attached to the lens, they aren't protecting it. I've included a 100% crop outdoors. I see no sharpness hit, and the contrast difference is almost imperceptible. If I flip back and forth between the two, I can see a very slight contrast loss in the darks. I also included a shot aiming almost directly at the sun trying to get lens flare, and saw nothing. Sharpness is again not affected, but I still can see that very slight contrast loss in the darks- but once again, almost completely imperceptible. I wouldn't be able to see it if I wasn't flipping back and forth between the images, and even then it's difficult. For kicks, I did test this with a UV light up against other UV filters I own (none of which I'm very impressed with) and this one did block the most out of them all, but a lot of the UV light did seem to make it through. I wouldn't call this a scientific test because I'm not even sure the desired wavelengths match up anyway, so make of that what you will. I was toying between 4 and 5 stars because of the very tiny contrast hit, because UV filters should help contrast especially in the darks- but that's really only true at telephoto ranges and I'm using this on a wider angle lens. I'm going with 5 because it's going to work wonderfully for what I got it for- protecting my lens without affecting the image quality. The contrast hit is so small that I will be completely comfortable using this filter essentially all of the time to keep my lens safe, unlike every other UV filter I've owned to date. This is the first UV filter I have owned that I am likely to nearly permanently leave attached to my lens, where it can actually do the job I got it for, so I think that deserves a full 5 from me. Also came with a microfiber cleaning cloth. ... show more

  • UV filter for lens protection, with a thinner-than-usual frame (6.2mm for the 52mm size). Good value
Size: 52mm
Item received matched my basic expectations for a 52mm UV filter, as described on the Amazon website. This filter (Beschoi 52mm UV filter) features a thinner-than-traditional frame thickness. More specifically, the 6.2mm frame thickness that I measured was about 1/3 less than the ~9mm frame thickness of a Neewer-brand 52mm ND filter that I happened to have on hand, for comparison. A thin filter like this may be an advantage when used on certain ultra-wide angle lenses that are prone to vignetting from filter usage. (Vignetting: Image corner darkening due to partially blocked light rays, which could be caused by use of a thicker filter(s), among other reasons.) For most lenses, vignetting from a filter shouldn't be a practical concern, as most quality lenses are designed with filter usage in mind. (Possible exceptions to this may be CPL filters, which are thicker than other filters.) The optical material in this Beschoi filter is a glass (rather than a plastic), as expected for a quality filter. Both filter surfaces are coated with anti-reflection coatings, as evidenced by the green light reflections. The effectiveness of anti-reflection coatings appears about average for a filter of this type; test shots I took into bright lights produced faint ghosting when this filter was in use, but this is to be expected. (It is best to remove any filters when shooting into bright light sources, in order to avoid unwanted ghosting or contrast-reducing flares.) I cannot confirm whether the anti-reflection coatings really consist of 30 layers as advertised. Also claimed are Mult-Resistant-Coatings (MRC) that should help repel dusts and water to help keep the glass cleaner longer. (I placed a drop of water on the filter glass as a test, and it did bead up. But I couldn't say if it did so more than it would on a regular clean glass; it looked to be about the same to be honest.) The filter frame material is aluminum. (Some premium filters use brass.) The quality of the filter threads are acceptable, but due in part to the frame thinness and also from the use of black matte paint, the thread-on action was less than smooth. That said, for a filter that tends to stay on a lens, this should not be a practical concern for most people. Personally, I generally prefer to use higher-grade Japanese Hoya filters and German B+W filters, but they are more pricey. Given the relatively low cost of these filters, I think this Beschoi filter represents a good value. So I'm giving it 4 stars. As measured: - Frame thickness (for the 52mm UV filter): 6.2mm ... show more

  • Works perfectly with no visible color shift.
Size: 58mm
I got this filter to not only control the UV light interference in my images, but also to protect the frontal element of my Canon EF 50mm f1.4 lens. Like I have done with every other lens in my kit. In other words, I get crispier/cleaner images while preventing my lens from being accidentally scratched. One potential major problem we can find with filter situated in the lower end of the cost range is the quality of the materials used, which may incur in noticeable color shifts in the image and also all sorts of image distortions, color aberrations and diffraction/refraction problems. Sometimes a filter can also affect a camera's ability to focus and auto-focus with precision. I didn't notice any of those issues with this filter attached to my 50mm lens. Considering the price, I would say this is a very good product. ... show more

  • Nice filter to protect the lens from dust, scratches and fingerprints
Size: 67mm
This Beschoi UV filter came in a nice square case. The filter was clean out of the box. The filter comes with a micro fiber cleaning cloth. I use UV filters only when shooting outdoors. This filter works well, I did not notice any degrade in image quality. I do not use filters indoors but I tested it to work just fine. See a couple of images with and without a filter. I tested this filter on my 16mm full frame lens. It is a nice filter to have to protect the lens front element from dust, scratches and fingerprints. I take good care of my gear and over the past decade or so, I never had scratches or fingerprints on any of my lenses or filters. So, when I need a UV filter, I will not hesitate to use this one. Price is comparable to some similar filters out there. ... show more
