The tires are like a spongey hard foam material something you would see on a nerf vortex foam football. The handle bars seem iffy and it only has a one wheel peel. I feel like they could have tried a little harder and made both wheels move with the pedals. Maybe one bar goes inside the other and then bolt them together to the shaft seeing that they need two bolts anyway. If you buy one you'll know what I mean when you assemble it. For $165 I feel it is very over priced. Im waiting for my sons birthday to see what he thinks. I have a feeling ill be sending this back. I was very pleasantly surprised at the heartiness of this little bike. I purchased it for my granddaughter at Christmas and assembled it for her. It is very well made and extremely sturdy. I especially like that there are adjustments for the handlebars and the seat allowing for growth. She is not quite pedaling yet as she is 2 yrs old but she climbed right on. The tires are good size and with four of them the bike is very stable. I can't wait for spring to have her take it outside and enjoy it. I looked over several options for a kids bike and am very happy with this purchase. It is so hard to know what an item will be like from a picture- especially in these days of Covid shopping online. I was looking for a pedal car- and the reviews on those left me nonplussed. I appreciate the effort that went in to making this product and the quality it is manufactured with. The assembly only took a few minutes. Instructions were decent but could always be more explicit for less experienced builders. The tires seem a bit cheap and could wear easily if the vehicle is moving fast and the child slams on the breaks. It’s a fixed gear drivetrain and the pedals are rather small but seem to fit well enough. My son is 4 and is in the max seat position. I don’t think a 5 yr old would fit comfortably on the vehicle. The turn radius is a little tricky but is adequate. The shocks on the front are a nice touch. It’s light enough to haul around with one hand when picking it up to load it in a vehicle or whatever. My son asked me to buy this for my grandson because they were at a friends home and their child had it, and my grandson loved it. He has a trike at home, but he can't ride it. he got on this and rode it immediately. Only problem....it comes unassembled.....that was brutal!
