  • Adventures with my toddler
Style: Bike Rack Mounted, Red/Blue
Incredibly easy to install & remove. Allows me to do what I love while bringing the kiddo along. I mount this seat onto the rack of my Himiway Zebra ebike. We cruise all over town and through our local state park. Feels very stable. My only complaint would be with the safety strap that ties to the bikes seat post. The straps have already become frayed and quite useless. I will modify with my own strap. Im not too concerned because the seat mounts securelt to the rack but should anything happen it would be nice to have a reliable backup. All around worth the price for precious memories ... show more

  • Not exactly for bigger kids as advertised
Style: Seatpost Mounted, Red/Blue
It is bigger than the smaller version but not much bigger, almost the same. Maybe an inch bigger. Still a good purchase

  • Nice reasonably priced carrier
Style: Seatpost Mounted, Red/Blue
This was a second attempt at finding a bike seat that would fit my full suspension mountain bike. First try, was a handlebar mounted one and that was a no-go, due to interference with steering. Most rear mounted carriers were also obviously going to be problematic due to the configuration of my bike. But, this one worked like a charm. Easy to mount; easy to remove. Feels secure, yet has a bit of spring to it that probably makes the ride better for the child. Light weight. Secure harness. Easy to get the child in and out. I was a bit concerned that the body straps might not be secure enough. But, that turns out to not be an issue. The munchkin is well-secured and happy back there. Love the foot straps and the configuration around the foot/leg area. I really like the fact that the foot straps keep her feet inside a protected area; both from the standpoint of not wanting her to kick me in the back, but also from a safety standpoint. As mounted, she sits about at the same level as my seat, which works well. The carrier mounts high enough away from moving parts that I wasn't worried about her getting her feet in the works. But, I like side protection in terms of accident protection. I was convinced to try this particular model by an earlier review that mentioned the bike falling over with the child strapped in and that other than being startled, the child was fine in part because of the side leg protection. Looking for a negative, I do find that my inner thighs do rub against the clamp a bit. Someone with less girthy thighs might not have that issue. It's not enough to cause major abrasion, though I did initially have a few days of minor saddle soreness until the skin toughened up a bit. Basically, it's not annoying enough to interfere with my usual 16-30 mile rides, but I could see myself taking the mounting bracket off if I was going on a 50+ mile ride or taking an extended road trip without our toddler. Last, but certainly not least, she really likes riding back there. Super happy with the seat and I recommend it highly. ... show more

  • Easy installation for me and a good ride for my son
Style: Seatpost Mounted, Red/Blue
I've had this seat for several weeks and taken it on many short rides around the neighborhood and on a few two mile rides on the local greenway. Both my son and I like it. Installation was fairly easy. It clamps to the frame on the seat tube (not the seat post, but the tube below it). Four bolts and nuts are used to attach and tighten the two portions of the clamp around the tube. They provide an allen wrench (hex key) for the bolt. I can't recall whether they provided a wrench for the bolt. I used my socket set for the bolt. They do provide bolts of two different lengths to support larger tube diameters. My mountain bike was at the top end of allowable tube size for the shorter bolts. I imagine oval tubes would work with the longer bolts, but I can't be sure. Overall, the installation was quite easy. When I later found that I needed to lower the clamp a bit to allow the bike to fit on my car rack, that was also easy. The seat easily attaches and detaches from the clamp. This is convenient if you transport the bike on a car rack and need to frequently remove the seat. My 3 year old son seems to find the seat to be comfortable. He is always eager to join me and the "big kids" for a ride. He did mention after this evening's ride that his helmet is bumping against the back of the seat. But we were riding on a gravel road that was a bit bumpy, so that may account for the complaint. I don't have any complaints or cons with this seat other than I cannot mount my trunk or panniers when the seat is mounted. But that is no surprise. It goes with the territory with a seat mounted over the rear wheel. The seat does have a nice safety feature in that there is a guard inside the foot/leg area to prevent the child from putting his foot into the spokes. I'm glad I bought this seat. I would buy it again, and I recommend it. ----UPDATE----- After using this several times a week for several months, I discovered it had rubbed th paint of the seat stay on one side of my bike. The seat stay is the diagonal tube running from the top of the seat post to the rear axle. After careful examination, I saw that I had, in fact installed the seat slightly off center so that the protective shield that keeps the kid's leg out of the spokes was rubbing one side more than the other. But the other side also had a tiny bit of paint missing too. So even if I had it perfectly centered, I would not have avoided the problem. And I was barely off. So close, in fact, that I decided not to try to adjust it, I ended up touching up the paint and then buying lizard skin patches to protect the frame. You can find them on amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CK0I9K/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They seems to have done the trick. Luck for me, that part of my bike is black. I see clear patches are also available. I recommend you apply something to protect your finish before you start using this seat. I do still like the seat and use it at least weekly. ... show more

  • Great seat
Style: Seatpost Mounted, Red/Blue
Works as designed and doesn't feel heavy on the bike. Make sure you tape up where this seat is making contact with your cross beams. Even though its plastic, its still manage to rub the finish and paint off where its touching. Even with that, I'd buy it again. Best part of using the bikes is getting to take everyone along for the fun. ... show more
