Size: Bee-Hive-Wrap-1-1
It fits both of my frame boxes (supers come off for the winter). It wraps around easily and the hook & loop is well attached and strong. It took me force to pull it apart before I put it on the hive. The material feels like those good raincoats I use to have in the early 2000's just a bit puffier and those things never let water through. The material keeps the rain out, cuts down on nearly all wind passing through it, the puffy in it helps provide extra insulation, and they made it black so it absorbs heat from the sun and transfers that into the hive easier for a boost. Installed it sits from the just under the roof cap to the opening at the base. It doesn't come down far enough to cover their opening which is great I don't have to worry about that. I keep it restricted in the winter with a board as it is. All in all an inexpensive, nicer looking option to help your hive's bee ball make it to spring. At most if we get a long stretch near 0ºF I'll add a rigid foam shell I whipped up before getting this but for the bulk of the winter I think this will be enough. ... show more
