This how the wig will look when you get it At first I did not like it but after some weeks I like it. the hair does get big and I did brush those baby hairs away because they are ugly the baby hairs are right in the middle starting from the part instead of on the sides. The hair is really soft shedding is normal like any curly hair it will have shedding but nothing excessive. The cap is a breathable cap I personally have a love hate feeling about breathable cap's I like them because I can scratch my head and it's not real hot but I don't like them because sometimes you can see your own hair. I did have to use ebin spray to hold the lace down because it did not lay flat for me also the cap is big it sits over my ears on the sides. I like the combs on the sides I feel like just give extra security. I did bleach the knots on this wig and had to use lace tint spray I will say that I wish the lace was softer. Overall I like the wig it's a everyday wig for me this summer. I only use water and mouse on the wig and when I wash it I only use conditioner no shampoo. ... show more

UPDATE: I washed it and the smell is still there but it’s a little fainter than it was originally. Also this unit is really big. My head is 21 inches round and this unit does not fit me. I can’t return it since I washed it so I’m going to try to turn it into clip ins. As for the color, it’s a nutmeg color at first, but once you add heat to the hair, it darkens and looks like 1b. Lastly, I used Herbal Essence curl mousse on it and it helped the hair hold a tighter curl. The spiral curl stayed all night and didn’t fall until I washed the unit the next day. —- I just got mine today and here are my initial impressions of the wig.: 1. It has that packaged hair smell. I don’t know how else to describe it but you know when you buy hair and you take it out the package and it has a scent to it? Well it smells like that. It’s not too chemically but it doesn’t smell like the way your natural hair smells. It’s the smell that all extension hair has. 2. I tested 4 different types of curling and straightening appliances on it with no curling or straightening products: Curling - It doesn’t hold a curl with my T3 micro flat iron or my Revlon curling wand—but it did hold a curl with my black NUME curling wand. But after 10 mins the curls had fallen a bit. Next time I’ll try it with hair spray to see if that helps to to hold the curls longer. I’ll also try curling it with bendy/flex rods to see how well it curls and holds a curl. Straightening - I used my Andis electric hot comb and my white T4 Micro flat iron and both straightened it really well. On the Andis I had it on setting 5 then gradually moved up to 10 and it straightened fine on both settings. On the T3 it straightened well on 370 degrees. Just note, it looked like the strands were shrinking in diameter when I was straightening it with the flat iron. Not sure if that’s a sign that the hair was melting but when I checked the hair and the appliance, nothing had melted so not sure why it shrunk in width from the heat. 3. It matches my hair texture when straightened. My hair texture is 4c and it doesn’t flat iron bone straight. Even with a relaxer my hair never comes out bone straight, it always has some wave/texture to it and so does this hair— it doesn’t straighten bone straight, so if your hair sounds like mine then this unit will work for you. The hair is thick so it’ll take a while to straighten the entire unit. 4. It’s butter soft right out of the package but after applying heat to it, it feels like the way your natural hair would feel. 5. Right out of the package the unit looks like stretched or blown out natural hair. After curling it with my curling appliances, I wet it to see what it would look like and it reverted back to that original state. Overall it’s a nice beginner piece. I bought it for a wedding to avoid spending $140 on a silk press but I’m looking forward to wearing occasionally. ... show more

The hair itself is AMAZING! The texture is soft. The curls are coily and bouncy with minimal product. Deep condition upon receipt. Air dry. Utilize Cream of Nature Jelly for curls. I am sooooo disappointed the small cap doesn’t vary much from the regular cap, but I will ALWAYS have this V-Part on hand. Buy it TODAY! Be prepared to add a strap if your head is small or sew it to make it smaller. It is adjustable, but even on the tightest connection, there will be gaps. The V-part section is flat and lays nicely. This V-part is my favorite! I will ONLY be wearing this unit! PLEASE make an extra-small! ... show more

I really liked this hair, but it came with that STRONG ODOR that I absolutely HATE. I was going to return it b/c of that but Ive been searching forever for this texture. Unfortunately, "AS ALWAYS" once you dye it the texture changes, but I really needed a curly natural looking wig so I kept it. Im actually going to order another one just b/c of the quality and price and b/c I want to see if the texture changes after just washing it. If the texture remains the same this will be my new "Go To Wig" Ill recommend it to all my clients who wear curly Black hair ... ... show more

This wig is EVERYTHING it’s soft and the curls are perfect I just wish it was thicker. There’s one spot in the back but close to the top where there’s just not enough hair to cover the tracks. I mean even when the hair isn’t split down the middle it doesn’t fully cover the tracks which is annoying cause I loved it so much. 😭 ... show more

I absolutely love this wig. It is super soft, easy to install and looks so natural. I wore it for 3 weeks without taking it off. It did not matte up or anything. I just needed to redo my hair underneath. No tangles. I was definitely feeling myself with this wig. The color is perfect!
