This cloak is far better quality than I expected. It's the perfect weight for winters on the mid-Atlantic coast, where it can be 25 degrees in the morning, and 60 by afternoon. I'm 5'4", and it hits at just above my ankles. It's a nice length, just be careful when walking up stairs so you don't step on the hem. The pockets are great, and situated in a way that my phone doesn't fall out. They're easy to reach through the arm slits, and while not huge, roomy enough to hold a phone and a light pair of gloves in the same pocket. Others have noted the button seems loose, and yes, it does. I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to secure it better, or take the button and flap off and use a cloak pin or a different cloak closure. The hood is roomy, and doesn't squish my hair. It's big enough you can kind of 'hide' in it if you want to. If you've always wanted a cloak but haven't gotten one because you don't want to be disappointed by a cheap Halloween-costume type piece, get this one. I was so impressed with this cloak/cape. I bought the full length black and it exceeded expectations. It has a full lining and the exterior feels like wool but is most likely a cotton blend. It has heft for sure and will keep you warm. Plus…pockets.

Very cozy, quality feels great, thick & has a good weight to it. Delivered quickly I will perhaps add an additional button. As the cloak is heavy. It does block put cold air and covers up well. I have ALWAYS loved capes & this one is one of my favorites. Very warm & perfect for the climate in which I live! I did notice that the seams needed to be pressed as they rolled, exposing the lining, but otherwise it arrived free of wrinkles. I also altered the hood as it was far too large & I prefer the petite Victorian look to the Gothic, mysterious vampirish look, & because I like to be able to see where I am going. After altering the hood I also added rabbit fur trim to match my rabbit fur muff, & replaced the button closure with a Victorian style hook & eye clasp. I LOVE the look I achieved & am very pleased with the overall quality of this cape. I would have given it 4 stars for the too big hood, but considered this only a minor inconvenience. Now. Runs small in shoulders dosen't completely close in front, nice quality for price. BUTTONS are tiny will not carry weight of cape, will have to widen button holes and larger button. Attracts stuff but nice.

I love this cloak! It’s a heavy but not stiff material which is what I wanted for the fall and winter weather here. It’s the perfect length! I’m 5’3” and doesn’t drag on the floor.
