*This is actually my second time buying this item. The first one arrived damaged. So beware!* I'm so glad that I repurchased it :-) My son is almost 2 years old and he LOVES this activity cube! It is a fairly small/short object. He has to sit in the floor to play with it. Not a big deal though because we've been looking to buy him a toddler table and chair set for his room. So now we just have one more reason to do so :-) Gave 4 stars for sturdiness due to the first one arriving damaged. It seems sturdy, but I can't say that it would withstand a child trying to stand on it. My child has made several attempts to do so, but I always intervene because I don't completely trust it to support his weight (30-32lbs). ... show more

We bought this activity block three years ago for my oldest child's first birthday. Since then I've had two more kids, each of whom has played with this at one point or another. It's survived four moves, including one across the country, with barely a scratch on it even though I've never packaged it very securely. I can say for sure that this thing can take one hell of a beating. It's probably the only toy we've had this long that hasn't fallen apart somehow. Great for babies when they're just at the "sitting up" phase. It's not quite heavy enough to support a child pulling up on it, but that can be fixed pretty easily by putting some weight inside it and closing up the bottom with some screws and plywood. I haven't needed to do that yet, though; my kids have always seemed to figure out that they can't pull up on it before it becomes an issue. ... show more

This is really sturdy made of solid wood. Smoothed corners so nothing to get hurt on. So many activities! And artwork on the pieces is really cute. Great value at a great price. And no batteries required or annoying electronic music.

We purchased this toy for our Grandson for Christmas when he was 8 months old. At that time, he was mesmerized by the colorful beads and their movement. He enjoyed playing with the toy alongside an adult to guide his play experience. The first time he heard each family member’s rendition of the cow that moves on the track, was a celebration of belly laughs. He is now going to turn one and this toy has grown with his skills and interest. Beautifully made doors that were once opened and closed, now receive the ‘knock knock” on each door because that’s what you do with a door, and of course you open the cow’s door first because now he can say “Moo”!” This toy is so well constructed. Smooth edges lovely colors that have not chipped off even while two cousins play at the same time. There are so many activities that grow with your child from basic tactile experience to suddenly exploring beginning puzzles putting familiar 3part animals together and learning the alphabet. I had read in a review that a mother felt the activity cube was strong enough to assist a child to a stand. I would not depend on the cube’s base foundation to assist a child to standing. There are many different heights within the wire structure for the wonderful bead fun, but depending on which wire your child grabbed and their standing proficiency, they could tip. Now, when I was right next to the cube and my grandson grabbed for the wires, I simply placed my hand on an edge to guarantee a successful attempt to stand, but ended in a great side sit. Wow! This is the best product I purchased in a while. My kids love it. The edges are not sharp, making it safe for little toddlers. The size is perfect. Paint colors are right. Slight concern that little fingers can get stuck on the top tracks. Hope it doesn't happen...

My son loves it, I bought it for his 1st birthday and he seems to really Enjoy it. It is very well built and sturdy but I do get worried my son will be able to knock it over when he tries to use it to stand up and with it being so heavy it could definitely be a hazard if not secured on the ground
