  • Nice Vintagelike Toy!
As a child of the 70s, I had one of these, and am happy to be able to give it to my little ones. I bought it for our 10-month old twins, and they love it. As far as I recall, this seems close to the vintage toy, except that the pull tab is a solid piece, rather than a ring (not important, but maybe interesting if you notice such things.) We ditched the newer style one with the lever, because it was too loud, and the girl's voice in it sounds a bit surly!--not friendly to young ears, I should think. And personally, I don't want to hear the thing singing "old MacDonald", all day! This version is the one I'd recommend. Update: I regret to say that this developed a hitch, after about 4 months of use, and now is stuck on announcing the dog. Adorable though he is, we'd like to hear the turkey and others, sometimes! The babies like this toy enough that I may get a replacement, though. ... show more

  • Absolutely regret buying this piece of junk
There was another review that said almost exactly what I'm about to say, but it's worth repeating so no one else buys this thing. It sucks. The string is too difficult for my 16 month old to pull. When I pull it, the spinner is so loud that you can't even hear the voice. And I'm pretty sure the animal sounds are literally a human voice making them. If you do want to buy this and try it, be extremely careful with the packaging because it's all taped in, and I had to rip it apart to get it open. So I can't return it even though I desperately want to. ... show more

  • Farmer singing toy
I don’t dislike this product. It was a present for my granddaughter. And she loved it

  • Granddaughter loves it
Granddaughter loves it BUT unless you have the broad spinning arrow exactly in a certain position - there is no sound. String is too short for my liking and I guess I’m getting hard of hearing because it sure isn’t very loud.

  • Not what I expected
This was a "See-n-say" by Fisher Price...BUT it isn't what it once was. This was quite smaller than the originals, and the volume is very low, requiring the toy to be held real close, to actually hear the animals. Disappointment was my initial reaction, and it is a SAD reminder that "new and current" is not always better. Better to search for an original at a thrift shop that still works, and save your $25. ... show more

  • Great!
Few toys are as iconic as a Fisher-Price toy and the Farmer Says See ‘N Say is one of the most iconic toys of all time. Introduced in 1965, it was the first talking toy that allowed children to pick the exact phrase they wanted to hear and it has been an essential part of early childhood development ever since. Oh the nostalgia! This thing brings back so many fond memories. As a child of the 70's and 80's, I learned farm animal sounds via the See ‘N Say. In fact, I'm pretty sure my mom still has my old See ‘N Say stored up in the attic somewhere as a memento of my youth. It's so nice to be able to share this with my own daughter now. The See ‘N Say is extremely easy to use, just rotate the arrow until it's pointing at the animal you want to hear and pull the string. There are twelve farm animals to choose from, each with an accompanying picture, and they all sound authentic. It's fun to watch my little girl's face light up every time she hear's an animal she likes and then hear her try to imitate it. As mentioned elsewhere, the new See ‘N Say is about half the size of the original one, but I actually view that as a plus and not a minus. The smaller size makes it lighter and easier for tiny hands to hold. The See ‘N Say is made out of durable plastic material too, so it won't fall apart if baby accidentally drops it on the floor or bangs it against a wall. All in all, this is a simple, effective, and entertaining way to teach kids about farm animals. I'm so glad I get the chance to pass on this classic toy and the joy that goes along with it. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Very loud spin!
Once the string is pulled, as long as the arrow is moving the noise is louder than the animal sound. It’s terrible and makes it unbearable to use. Sad.
