If you are like me and going through many different options on grow lights, this is where you want to end that search. I held off for a few months to write this review because I wanted to grow a plant beneath it, and look at the quality of that plants growth over a period of time. I’d like to start off by saying that I am a legal farmer in my state. I am blown away, frankly. Lights in this price range usually do not have the spectrum or the quality that this light has. It has sufficiently carried me through the grow of a massive autoflowering plant, that has had no lighting issues. I’d expect results like this from an LED at 5x the cost. The driver is holding up well, and I keep a small clip fan blowing on all of my lights just to ensure a longer life, but other than that it has not needed any maintenance. I would not recommend this for anything smaller than a 3x3 tent, as it is quite powerful even at its highest hanging point. It’s flowering footprint is also quite impressive, and the way the panels bend is a nice touch for people that want that spectrum of light to cover a broader range of plants. I have not found it necessary to bend the panels because the light fills up a 3x3 in a more than adequate manner, for my purposes. Below are some pictures of a DWC (hydroponic) autoflower I’ve grown solely under this light. If you’re wondering what my final take away is… I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this light again. There is nothing better in its price range. Update.... I have purchased 3 of these. The on off switch on the cord to one of them is not working correctly making the light unusable. I have tried to contact them multiple times. Amazon keeps intercepting and no resolution has heen found. I would like to exchange the broken one for a working one. I have also purchased other types of lights from the company but never had problems with any of them until now. Now that I am having a problem it is impossible to reach seller to ask for replacement. Very dissatisfied with customer service Great veg light but doesn't flower as well as I hoped it would. I wouldn't flower under it even in a 3x3... but cannot be beaten as a veg light. Creates great canopy and makes plants grow fast and strong. Very happy as far as veg goes. Didn't have huge high hopes for flowering under this (its only 200 watts) so I wasn't really disappointed. Since I got 1 I have told many friends and they all use these for veg now. Covers 4x4 veg without a problem. ... show more

My first grow - but these plants are healthy so far, will update with bud pictures if I remember. This is one light inside of a 4x8 - half of it is closed off so only using 4x4 section. Will grab a second and maybe 3rd light when I open it all the way up for my next grow.

I waited a while to review this light. I have it connected to an external timer to turn it on and off. I have it set at about 50% brightness level and it is keeping my jade plant growing in the basement. I like the adjustable side flaps. I didn't have any trouble with the hanging chain/attachment mechanism as some complained about. I followed the instructions and I thought it was nicely adjustable and secure. I may get another one to completely cover my 24 x 48 table. I have my african violets around the edge of the light as it would be too bright for them directly under the light. If I get a second light, I can keep the violets together under their own light at a lower setting. This thing is bright!! ... show more

I have had a few lights over the years, all budget lights. At current I have (3) spider farmer, (2) Vipar Spectra and then this one. I've had others, but these are the ones I use because they work well. Upon opening this advertised 200W light, you can see directly on the power supply the max is 180W at full voltage. So either the power supply is under-rated, or the seller is over rating the light. Both are bad news especially for the price. The light "flickers" at anything under 40%, which is also a bad sign for quality and design. Yes, the way it's designed is great to be able to adjust the light to different angles, but the manufacturer just dropped the ball on this. It could easily be a great product. Using a light meter I tested this compared to a 100W spider farmer light as well as the 240W Vipar Spectra. The PPFD readings confirm how much light the plant would receive at X distance. What I don't see is in what spectrum, but that is neither here or there because of it's poor performance out of the box. (1) 240W Vipar spectra could do the job of 3 of these barrina lights. It's comparable to the Spider farmer light in terms of output. I sent it back, It's not worth it. For $20 more I can have 3X the PPFD with a name brand power supply and LED lights. I eyed this one for months due to it's design and positive reviews, if you are not technical about it at all yes it works, but for the value, it's very poor compared to many other offerings in the same price range. ... show more
