The sleeves pop on nicely and fit firmly. Looks like good quality material. However, my awning rolls very tightly and the travel locking clips do not slide under the awning at all. I don't want to force it and tear something. I'll experiment with ways to get the clip in. However, we decided that it doesn't make sense to travel with the cover on because the awning will be open every night we are staying aboard. This is the perfect way to protect your awning from the deadly rays of the sun, especially here in Arizona. Anyone that does NOT want to have to replace there awning ever 3 to 4 years here in Arizona needs one of these. The only problem that I found in this product was that maybe it should be offered in longer lengths. Very well made product and the fit is very tight. Have not driven with it yet, but with the clips, I'm sure they will stay on. The covers also cannot be installed to the ends of the roller, i.e. they must be inline with the side edges of the awning for the clips to hold the covers on. I was not aware before purchase, but there is a warning not to leave the awning covers on with a full cover because of the heat generated. ... show more

    • Should have saved time and money and just ordered this to begin with!
We tried 2 DIY versions using white gutter and black landscaping drain pipe that we found on YouTube. Both of these blew off in our frequent 35-50 mph wind gusts. The gutter broke in pieces and the drain pipe stretched out and wouldn't hold tight after that. We should have just ordered this to begin with. It fit nicely, went on well and stayed on during a 50 mph wind gust storm even without the clips installed. ... show more

So far so good. We'll see how these hold up but they do not cover a sliver of the awning at the top and I have not tried to drive with them on. They seem to be a good product and it does protect 98% of the awning so I am happy with them so far.

    • Won't Blow Off When Driving
I was a little skeptical about driving with these on but after making a 60 mile trip yesterday that reached 75 mph on a windy day I'm no longer skeptical. They didn't move. I made sure to install the rear piece first and work my way forward. That way the wind glides over the top and not very likely to blow them off. I expect they'll last a very long time. ... show more

Covers are nice and appears to do it's job but I can not roll out my awning with the cover on nor can I retract it. Mine is power so maybe that has something to do with it. But I don't mind removing them when I am rving.
