    • I like it, it's a pretty useful little device.
So I like this device, and I think it's priced fairly well for what it is at $18.99. It's quite simple to use, basically you can just touch the button to force a feeding (basically the drum on top which holds the food rotates, and has a little opening which is size adjustable for how much food you want to let out.) So when you push the button it rotates, and it shows you the current setting for when it'll rotate again (12, 24 or 48 hours), you hold the button to switch to the next setting if you want to change it. It also has two different mounting methods which is cool far as I'm concerned, you can mount it on the side of your fish tank glass via a clamp, or you can use a bit of included adhesive strip with a flat mount that you could either mount it on a nearby shelf/table or you could mount it on the top of the fish tank cover with the opening over an opening in the cover to let food pass through. I don't have any complaints about it, but I will say it could be a little bit difficult, depending on the food and how specific an amount you want per feeding, or if your fish has different feeding intervals than 12/24/48 hours, it could be hard to adjust the amount of food to a precise amount, but other than that I think it's generally a decent design. ... show more

    • Not the best for flakes. Inconsistent amounts depending on size of flakes.
It's a very simple and straight forward device. One button either quick pressed or held down will turn on or change settings (12/24/48hrs). Rotates twice and stops. Not sure if there's a way to turn it off actually. I use mostly flakes with my tanks and as the sizes of those flakes vary, so does the amount that is dispensed by this with each rotation. As with other feeders I've tried, I think smaller more consistent shaped foods work better like pellets. I find that if I break down some of the bigger flakes, I can get it to dispense more consistently. It will take a little trial and error to figure out how much to open the housing to dispense the right amount of food. After that, you should be set. It's easy to take on and off using the clamp so it's a nice backup when I'm away which is what I'm looking for. You can slide the feeder off the base for easy removal. The food container pulls off easily as well for refilling but not easy enough to fall off on it's own. If any problems occur, I will update my review accordingly. ... show more

There isn't a whole lot to describe about this feeder and that's probably what I like most about it. It was easy to set up with multiple mounting options and very straightforward to configure. There is an adjustment to set how much feed you want it to spill into your tank and that's about it. I found it works best when the hopper is about half full but it really depends on what kind of food you use and the size of the flakes. Pros: It works well with flakes. Easy to setup. Cons: I wish it was bigger. Even when you can adjust the amount of food, this is not geared towards bigger tanks. No power brick. Only USB cable. The clip to hold on to the aquarium is plastic and may not hold on tight. However, it also comes with some glue pad, so I was able to set it that way and it is holding well. This automatic fish feeder is great! We were able to go on vacation for 2 weeks without a care and the fish were none the wiser! We like that it is battery powered so that we don't have to worry about power outages or having to reset the timer.
