Description

High-level input line output converter More and more aftermarket amplifier installations depend on using the factory amp's powered outputs for its inputs. AudioControl's LC2i PRO line output converter takes amplified speaker- level signals and converts them into high-quality preamp signals that can then be fed to another processor, a full-range amplifier, or your subwoofer amp. Bass feature Some factory radios dial down the bass as you turn up the volume to protect the flimsy factory speakers. The problem is, they don't give it back when you upgrade to a nice set of aftermarket speakers. AudioControl packs the LC2i PRO with their AccuBASS(tm) circuitry that reverses the factory low-frequency roll-off, giving you the bass you need to enjoy your music to the fullest. Installation conveniences The included dash-mount wired remote control allows you to adjust the level of your sub channel on the go. Load selection switches make OEM integration easier, so the LC2i PRO will work with almost any factory sound system. Selectable turn-on modes include GTO(tm) Signal Sense (DC offset), audio sense, or remote 12 volt inputs.

  • Pricey, but worth it.
If you're like me and have a newer vehicle with lots of factory options that run through the head unit, going aftermarket can be a huge pain in the rear. This active LOC has crystal clear sound output without all the engine noise and muddy sound processing from a budget aftermarket setup. Works even better if your car has a factory amplifier with a low frequency output. It's also fairly easy to install whether you have very little experience, or many years of car audio under your belt. There are also some very easy to follow youtube guides that explain all of the features and how to easily set them. ... show more

  • You won't be disappointed!
For years I was running a cheap active LOC in my 2014 hyundai veloster turbo, and I wanted more from my subs. I'm running two alpine type R's (swr-10d4) 1000W RMS each, wired to one ohm on a Hifonics Brutus (BRX2000.1D) 2000W RMS @ 1 ohm. I wanted to upgrade my prefab box thinking this was my issue. I did some research and found that I have my gains set too low and after setting this to the proper level it sounded louder but still sounded distorted. It was then I understood my cheap LOC was the reason why, I was getting distortion with barely any preout voltage (had to turn my gain 'way up' to match the low preout voltage.) I decided to bite the bullet on this LC2I. I tapped into the factory subwoofer and played a 50hz 0db test tone through my radio, set at 30/35, turned my level up on my LC2I until the maximized light came on, then backed it off a little. To set my gains on my amp, I took the square root of my 2000w amp multiplied by the one ohm to get my target voltage at the amps output terminal (44.72 V) I then tested my voltage with a DDM at the amps outputs terminals and used the amps gain knob to achive my target voltage of 44.72. The gain was turned down substantially compared to when I was using the cheap LOC, proving the new LC2I was providing a higher preout voltage. The quality and clarity of the subs are now night and day different. I wish i did this upgrade alot sooner. This was well worth the money spent, and if you are using a cheap LOC and looking for more out of your system this is a no brainer. Just do it. ... show more

  • A must have for adding subs
This was for my son's car. I have one in mine also. The LC2i takes the signal from the factory stereo, equalizes it, then boost it. It's the only way to get the best sound when adding a sub and amp to your factory stereo! Highly recommended!

  • Easy to use
I am a electronics novice and was able to wire it up and have it installed without a hitch. If you want to keep your factory head unit and add some thump then this is your item

  • Love it
So... if you are trying to add an amp or multiple amps to a stock radio you cannot spend money on your new set up without this! Way better than passive line out converter. Well worth the money. If you can run the power for your amp you can hook this up. Tapping into your stock speaker is easy enough. AMAZING difference in performance on my amp. It runs way cooler. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the lack of seeing/tuning instructions - clear as mud. The Acubass is awesome but confusing and difficult to tune. Although it did scare the s**t outta me when my head was in the trunk and it kicked in. Insane on the difference it makes. I am running a pair of Rockford Foster R2 10's with a Rockford Fosgate Prime 500.1d amp. Loud enough for the neighbors to come outside and think it was the teenagers down the street (not the 50 year old neighbor) ... show more

  • LC2i pro
Definitely recommend if your system is stock. This will help bring the true output your subs need. If you have an aftermarket head unit this won't be needed. I wanted to retain the oem unit at least for a while until I find an aftermarket one down the line(money). Installation wasnt too bad, found a few youtube videos that helped. Works great, and the remote bass knob hasn't had any issues. The old Skar remote bass knob took a crap so hopefully this one is better quality. These are Skar SVR series 10" in their enclosure. I'm sure a custom box would be a better upgrade, but this hits pretty hard for now. ... show more

  • Great sound quality
My favorite ability of this device is the sound sensitivity. It will sense audio and if you run your remote wire from it to the amp, it will only turn the amp on when sound is being played. Good clear sound reproduction from this device. I install it in any car with a system now.

  • Not durable as said
The media could not be loaded. Great at first but no later than 3 months when the load select stopped working I have to use the 20k when I was using the 60 and able to use the regular 20 but now I can’t but only one load select
