  • Reasonable price, power, over all works just as good as the pricey Kitchen Aid
Size: 6.5QT Color: Silver
I am changing toward veggies diet so I need lot and lot of seitan, bread and pasta. That means a lot of kneading. Kneading shows true power of the any mixer. I bought the Halmilton Beach originally but disliked the C kneading hook and small 4 quart bowl. The Aucma does not cost that much more but has 6.5 quarts bowl, high power and S kneading hook. Well since I got this in less than a week I had made many seitan, Chinese noodle which require a lot of kneading and some mixing. Works great except one thing. The kneading hook does not have the round plate near attachment. That means flour travels up there and makes a mess which requires cleaning. My solution is to make a smaller dough and that seems to solve the issue. What more do you need if you only care about kneading, mixing and stirring which this mixer can do easily as good as the more expensive Kitchen Aid? In my case i need to make pasta and Chinese noodles. My solution is to buy the hand crank pasta maker which i did. Nothing beats home made pasta and noodle. So cheap and easy to make with the mixer and the pasta maker!!!!! Everyone wants the Kitchen Aid which is heavy and pricey. Sure it is a standard that other mixers follows. I can buy 3 other mixers for one Kitchen Aid which work just fine for my need and I am a heavy user. The majority of people out there is not heavy user. If you care to show off then buy the Kitchen Aid. If you care about practicality, affordability and sensible this Aucma serves well. Works for me. It is a keeper. Longevity is not an issue because i can buy 3 Aucma for one K.Aid. At the beginning I was struggling to decide but with Amazon great return policy why not try out then find out. My main intention to buy the mixer is that i do not want to knead flour by hand and i know if it works great for kneading then everything else is a piece of cake for the mixer. Kneading puts a lot of stress on the mixer. It requires power, good S kneading hook and quality machine to run. I see those with the Aucma so this works for me. Do not afraid to try different brand because if you don't try you will never know. I made a right choice NOT to go with K.Aid. ... show more

  • We love this mixer.
Size: 6.5QT Color: Silver
We don't grind meat or use kitchen aid attachments, so this was a great choice. Does not creak and moan and warp the entire mixer like the cheap kitchen aid does while kneading dough. It's been durable, quiet, and does not smell like it's going to burn up like the wal mart kitchen aid models. Price was great. Bowl locks on great. Attachments work like they should. It's a bit faster than other mixers, but it causes us no issues. I recommend it. ... show more

  • Easy To Use
Size: 6.5QT Color: Red
I’ve always had a handmixer I never could afford a standing mixer, but I always wanted one. This mixer is very nice. It’s the color is very vibrant and it was very easy. The instructions admittedly I was a little nervous putting it together, but it was really simple and now I’m sitting here waiting on this cake to come out which I think is gonna be absolutely delicious, cause I made it from scratch ... show more

  • Mostly the same capabilities as KitchenAid at much lower price
Size: 6.5QT Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. Comparing the Aucma 6.5 QT (660W) Mixer with a KitchenAid Artisan 5 QT (325W) Mixer (check out the video review) Things that are the same for both: - Both bowls held the same amount in them, about 3 Quarts (the 6.5 QT Aucma loses a lot because the entire unit sits inside the bowl). Keep in mind that you don't want your ingredients getting into the connector of the attachments (think: grease, grime), which is why neither get the full bowl rating. See the video - Power usage seemed about the same when mixing dough (I think it was around 220 Watts). Both seem to have plenty of power for the size bowl - The bowls both had the same brushed metal feeling inside them Aucma Pros: - The price, at the current price I could buy almost 2.5 Aucma for a single KitchenAid Artisan - Wider bowl can be nicer when pouring in ingredients - The dust cover raises when tilting the head - It seems just as powerful as KitchenAid - Although half the weight of the KitchenAid, still feels really sturdy - Suction cup feet to help keep it from moving around on counter - It's shorter, so fits under cabinets easier Aucma Cons: - The hole in the dust cover isn't for dumping large things (lift the lid though, it's easy). See video - The cord isn't grounded (This is a 660W motor, so I would have expected a better cord, but maybe because the entire shell is plastic, this is not as much of a concern; the KitchenAid is all metal, so grounding is more important) - The bowl can be put in 3 positions, but only one of those is correct, so it is frustrating to rotate the bowl around trying to figure out how to attach the bowl - The unit flexes a lot when mixing dough, so I'm concerned with the longevity of the plastic frame - The head of the mixer is down inside the bowl, so even when you tilt the head back, you have to tilt the bowl to get it around the mixer attachment - Although the mixer "says" it is 660W motor, I suspect if you tried to use all of that power, it would snap the mixer in half (the KitchenAid frame would be able to handle it) KitchenAid Pros: - It feels solid, none of the crazy flexing that the Aucma did - Potential for addons - The bowl can be attached in multiple positions successfully - The dust cover has a funnel that is very helpful at pouring flour/ingredients down KitchenAid Cons: - The dust cover is attached to the bowl, it is hard to tilt the head back when the cover is attached, since things don't fit between the small gap - The whisk isn't dishwasher safe, it definitely felt different than the Aucma's Overall thoughts: - If you are going to be doing a lot of doughs, and are someone that will use it a lot, you might want to get the KitchenAid. It's more expensive, but won't make you feel concerned when you are running it - If you are a casual cooker, and like an excellent price, and would even consider mixing heavier things slower (to reduce the flexing), then you should go for the Aucma. I was really torn, the cost benefit and the dust-cover on the Aucma were my favorite parts. We do a lot more bread and cookies here, so I think we'll be keeping the KitchenAid. ... show more
